But, I'm looking for something that POPS for a new logo for our annual allstar shootout event.

I keep playing with ideas, but just can't find anything I like...

this years event is April 25-26, but I'm hoping to get flyers and stuff as soon as possible...5-6 weeks before the event.

Joe, to he honest, the red and blue you have designed already looks pretty dog-gone nice to me.

Joe, like Tim I like the red and blue. Maybe add a Star on the end of the red and blue lines to look like a Shooting Star.

Trackdog, AWESOME DUDE! Have you tried taking the SWTour logo and puttin it to the right of the Allstar Shootout. You would extend the frame that it's in. This would make it look more like a web banner and would be Awesome online on the left side of a page with car & track photo's looping on the right side of the header. Similar to 360 raceway's home page.

No matter what it's a great design.

I like both of these, and some of the things in the 1st one...I think I'd like in the 2nd.

I like the star on the left side on the first one, more than on the right side...

I like the SWT logo wider like on the first one, more than on the 2nd one.

I like the black edge on Allstar on the 2nd one...but I think the star looks better with the red, but I'm not sure...

They both excite the heck out of me compared to anything I did myself.

The both are much more exciting than the allstar performance logo

Using illustrator cs3. I'll make some changes like you suggested tonight and see how it looks.

Yes that is what it is for. But its not the greatest. You will still have to do some cleaning on the nodes.

What I useually do is use the rasterised image as a pattern and draw over top of it. CS3 does have a trace function but it's not perfect. Combine it with Photoshop and it's a great program.

(I need to take some graphics classes or something...I like to mess with this stuff, but I lose focus really easy)

I really liked TRACKDOGS logo on some aspects, but I didn't think I'd like it on a T-Shirt

Chris @ Fastoyz Racing did a couple versions that I really ended up liking and will be using on our events T-Shirt.
