Due to a special set of circumstances, I was fortunate enough to pick up for a song a Sun Star 1:12 1956 Morris Minor 1000 Saloon. As a young high school student I got to sit in the back seat of our neighbor's 1:1 to be transported to school. So this model evokes special memories for me.

Sun Star did a super fine job with their rendition of the Morris. Only 4000 in the edition.

The model (I rate it 5 star) is very impressive with all its various features:

• Over 200 parts
• Functioning trafficators (manual)
Spring-loaded positionable windshield wipers
• Opening glove box
• Tilting front seats
• Opening front side windows operated by crank handle
Opening quarter windows
Soft carpeting
Correctly patterned rubber floor mats
• Soft, leather-effect seats
• Removable spare wheel
Tires "deflate" realistically
• Opening front quarter-lights
• Rear seat backs fold forwards
• Removable tool kit
Removable spare tire
• Independent suspension
• Opening doors, hood and trunk.
• Detailed engine with separate HT leads fan belt, alternator, starter motor, etc.
• Working steering

Plus, an authentic-looking fabric top that folds down like a real convertibe! It includes a fabric tonneau cover, also.

Very cool model!!!

Nice model. I have always liked that car. When I was a kid, there was a garage in my neighborhood that had two of them in their lot. The sat there for the longest time. I often stopped by to look at them, and then one day they just disappeared. Sure would like to have one of them.
