I Have Had Two Sets Of These Shocks And Both Sets Have Leaked.. Is Anyone Else Having A Problem With This Or Have I Just Had The Fortune Of Getting A Few With A Slow Leak???? When I Say They Leak I Dont Mean They Leak So Bad That I Have To Refill Them In Between Every Round But I Do Have To Rebuild Them Before Every Race And The One Will Have To Be Refilled Before The Main.... Any Input Would Be Awsome

I know my Irs ones always are wet at the end of the day. I just quit trying to rebuild them and just fill em before racedays. Why cant the make something more like the center? And you sneeze and the shafts bend. I tear center one down every so often to put new oil in it not for loss of it.

Check to be sure the bladder is on properly. If that does not seal, then it will leak.

No problems with them leaking, but I had a hell of a time getting them smooth. Nothing a dremel, sandpaper, and 20 minutes per shock couldn't handle.

They should bolt right up without any issues. They are definately worth the money.

e-mail silva I had the same problem with mine he sent me new body's and caps and it fixed the problem. He will most likely ask you to send your shocks in to him first another racer up e-mailed him about his and he wanted him to send the shocks in first..

Just got 3 sets of them while I was at the snowbirds from Silva. Built them in about 5 mins each set. They went together very fast and smooth. No leaking and they rebounded perfect on the first time. These shocks are great. Nice job Dana.

when you guys are rebuilding or building the new silva shocks how far out are you setting them up to rebound I read guys saying fully I read some guys saying 1/8 what's the proper setup and when you measure full extended length is it end of ball cup to end of ball cup or end od cap screw to end of bottom shaft screw? albie

albie I have been letting mine rebound about halfway. I played around with the first test batches that Dana sent me. I found that leaving alot of rebound (alot of pressure) semd to make the car really inconsistent to drive plus after a couple of runs alittle of the oil will be forced out and than yuo have a completly different shock. I set mine to rebound about halfway and the will stay that way for atleast 3 or 4 weeks. I still build mine every weekend but you really don't have to.

I Dont Want Any One To Think I Was Saying Any Thing Bad About These Shocks They Are By Far The Best Side Shocks I Have Ever Used Mine Just Had A Slow Leak. But I Have Always Set Mine To Rebound All The Way But I Am Going To Try To Build Them Like Ritchie Mac Says Only About Half Way And Give That A Shot.. Thanks For All The Input I Hope That This Works

Were is the leak at. The bladder end of the o-ring end. Just wondering. I use a little green slim on the o-ring just to make it super smooth, I also like to put just a bit on the threads. Im talking just a little to lube the threads. It seems to seal them also. I have not seen any leaking since I started only building them to rebound halfway. I also don't use the green slim on the cap any more just on the o-ring.(it keeps the o-ring from swelling and keeps the shock really smooth.) I hope this helps.
