Good Post Dom I Have Been Wondering This Myself..... At The Track The Dom And I Race At They Just Opened Up The Motor Rule For 21.5 So None Of Us Have Got To Run Anything Other Than Novak,.... I Would Also Like Some Info On If Anyone Else Has Tried Any Other 21.5 Motors Other Than The Novaks,,

I like the Novak 21.5 better than the Trinity 21.5 spec brushless used at the Birds in the COT truck class. But, I am not a motor tunning guru. I was hopping tunning would not be needed with brushless. It apperas motor building is not needed, but ESC and motor tunning is now more important.

The pulse motor is a pile. Look at the Bird's results between the COT and the 21.5 cars. The truck body wasn't what slowed the COT class down so much.

The motors don't have enough air gap designed into them and don't make enough rpm or watts. Throw one on the dyno with whatever super boost you want and you will quickly be grabbing your Novak.

on a big asphalt track, the Pulse is an absolute dog! almost a full second off the pace, so we promptly went back to novak.
