Build a t-jet size Auto Repair Shop for under $15.oo ~ I made one from a Plasticville Fire House train building. ~ You can get one from most hobby shop's or on eBay for $10.oo or less. ~ And a thin sheet of plastic for $2.75 ~ I had to make a roof for mine, the used built building that I got on eBay was missing the roof. ~ I think it looks better then the one from the kit anyways. ~ I used a small piece of wood paneling for the floor witch worked out perfect. ~ The two bay door openings where widened 1/8 of an inch. ~ But then you can't use the bay door's that came with the kit , but you really don't need them anyways. ~ A fun small project that's easy to build and to display your t-jets in. ~ I made the roof removable so to add a work bench at a later date. ~ (Sill a work in progress) ~

Thats a great idea, we have a bunch of O scale stuff in the basement, it was free, so we make it work, it is a little off, but the kids don't care, they're having fun. Thanks for sharing that, we have that firehouse too, only in o scale.

I've also found use of HO scale buildings on my table. I think the firehouse I bought will make my "shop" eventually. I can't remember the maunfacturer at thyis time, but I can say it's a newer type building (the prefab type metal building) and the doors widths are perfect for diecast and tjets. A little wide for AFX).. Sooner or later I'll get inspired to get back to work on the table. Got a ton of road improventments to deal with and I'm dragging my feet...

I changed a few things around in my main larger t-jet shop. ~ I found a place for the metal table ~ tool box ~ engine puller ~ and the floor jack. ~ I put them over by the paint booth. ~ I will post some pics of the smaller t-jet shop when I get it finished.

Shop layout looks really sharp - too neat and orderly to be anywhere near me, in HO or 1:1! Nice job!

I Thank You (coach61)~for all the cool bodies that you sent me for my junk yard. ~ I got one mounted on a chassis and it will be my new part's runner truck as soon as I put a windshield in it, It's sitting out side of my new repair shop right now. ~ I will have the Camaro bodies in the mail by mid week, And Thanks Again. ~ Tom
