i have it in my car but its really fast but to fast for the track what do you think

That is a little to much power for the track. I have a Kyosho RB5 and run a 10.5 Novak. It is just right for me. I think I could run a 8.5 but would never go lower than that. On off-road slow is fast. Speed will only get you in trouble faster. A good racing line and throttle control is key.

if you have a radio with expo. then turn it down to -30%. I've ran a 6.5 in my xxx-cr on a slippery indoor track but if you don't have any kind of a "horsepower" straightaway then it's not worth it.

Yeah a 6.5 is a little much for off road tracks. Personally i think either a 13.5 or a 10.5 is your best bet. Both have great speed but your not going to have to fight alot of disappointing wrecks and broken parts.
