chriscobbs 02-03-2009, 01:51 PM Thanks for the link. The Ford Bronco has the wrong picture....should be a dark blue with #57 on the side. I'm not sure if there are any other with incorrect images.
olesarge90 02-03-2009, 03:56 PM There several pics that are of previous year releases.
The Cadillac is blue this year not brown like it was in 2008...
Got to MCCH and find a complete/up-to-date list of this years models, olesarge90/Gill
tamiyatim 02-03-2009, 04:14 PM What is MCCH?? can you please post a link?
dragonhead00 02-03-2009, 04:47 PM I use the site to catalog my MB's. I tried to join MCCH but registration is locked. I emailed them but I haven't heard from them, yet. Does anyone know the reason?
slythorne 02-04-2009, 04:58 PM Wow.... I see some I gotta have!
78 Monaco Cop Car
63 Caddy Ambulance (retooled Hearse??)
Vista Cruiser
There is some others I will probably want too.. but have to wait and see...
I wonder if some of them, like the Moving Van, are going to use the Motorhome chassis??
toyparknyc 02-04-2009, 08:12 PM with the new crown vic taxi are they doing away with the police car? or they going to have both?
70_442 02-04-2009, 08:15 PM I have some of those now, but I can't wait for some of the others
markkaz 02-05-2009, 04:56 PM I'm a bit sad that my Avalanche isn't in the
lineup anymore but I will look forward to it
in the multipacks and other releases.
Turcicus 02-05-2009, 10:05 PM Wow, it's gonna be another good year for Matchbox!
Lummox 02-05-2009, 11:48 PM Vista Cruiser!!!
dragonhead00 02-06-2009, 05:56 PM Yeah, that's the one I'm anxious about. There some others. I'm just hoping they got the casting right. I have a JL version that looks great.
JasonZ 02-07-2009, 11:17 AM Some must haves.
David Tilley 02-07-2009, 02:05 PM Yes, I first put the pictures up on the MCCH for everyone to see. Here is a link to an updated list that includes what has arrived in the first 2 batches of 2009.
http://www.mboxcommunity.com/forums/showpost.php?p=514794&postcount=1
I then passed on the pictures to Dean to put on the BAMCA site and to John Nijhuis to put up on Matchbox Forum.

I am glad people are liking them. As a former ambassador to the company I do like to see how the Matchbox brand is being perceived and still do pass on feedback to the team themselves.
:) :D :p
Midnightrun 02-07-2009, 02:53 PM looks good.. lookin forward to customizing a few.
---Midnightrun---
41-willys 02-08-2009, 11:05 AM I would love to find 2or 3 of the motorhomes.
galvin 02-08-2009, 09:07 PM I use the site to catalog my MB's. I tried to join MCCH but registration is locked. I emailed them but I haven't heard from them, yet. Does anyone know the reason?
I've tried too; the reason is you need to enter a email address that isn't a 'free' one (like hotmail for example).
terry9911 02-08-2009, 09:35 PM Need more station wagons,
more older American cars,
less foreign cars,
more trailers and or mobile home trailers
sschevyman1 02-09-2009, 02:18 PM On Joining the MCCH,Which David Tilley is agreat member as well, they require your email address that is set by your service provider, because of past spam problems.
tamiyatim 02-09-2009, 03:23 PM Not sure I'm such a big fan of that Crown Vic Taxi... I was expecting a plastic taxi sign on top and the newer dogdish rims... they look MUCH more realistic... why would they go to such an extreme to change the entire casting rather than just add a bump or a plastic triangular "billboard" on the roof, with a couple of mounting holes, like the police lights?? I mean, the police lights weren't cast into the roof, why the taxi sign??
David Tilley 02-09-2009, 11:11 PM The picture of that one is a little misleading. The taxi sign on the roof is an attachment just like the police bars are. The team at Matchbox have created a taxi sign attachment and a surfboard attachment that are fitted in the exact same was at police bars are.
We will see them better when they do appear in real life. Remember these are prepros. The wheels may also be different when the model actually appears too, as they often make a few tweaks to models between hand-preparing examples for the poster and actually starting production.
:) :D :p
elseis66 02-10-2009, 12:35 PM Monaco is awesome, I only hope that it will be close to 1/64 scale and not smaller like the Cadillac Deville. Does anybody know if the Monaco will be close to 1/64. The Cadillac, although a great casting is too small seems to be around 1/77 scale.
I have these at my discount store. (from the list of cars on the first link)
22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 30, 39, 46, 50, 63, 72, 86, and Dodge Charger Police.
I might have these too, 15, 16, 57, 67, 93.
send me a PM if you would like to buy any from me.
Lpgeoteacher 02-13-2009, 07:13 PM Man I wish Matchbox could get hookd up with AutoFest! That would make a great platform for both!
oblivious 03-20-2009, 12:21 PM Thanks for the link. The Ford Bronco has the wrong picture....should be a dark blue with #57 on the side. I'm not sure if there are any other with incorrect images.
If you look at the bottom of the page, you will see the disclaimer that says that the actual color and deco probably vary from what's shown. At this time I only keep a single picture for each casting. I'd like to be able to display the proper variation but that will require substantial scripting and database work, and a library of something over 10,000 images. Give me a couple of years.

I thought this would be obvious by now. Come on guys. Navigate through the site and you'll eventually get the correct description of your car.

Ok, so it took less than a year and a half. Does that mean I'm ahead of schedule?
Year-by-year lineups with correct images are now available.

Dean, don't know if you are oblivious to the fact that the original link listed is a dead one. After all your work you should at least know. Post a proper link - I'd be interested to visit the site...
Jeep'rs 07-11-2010, 09:14 PM Not too hard to figure out the homepage from the link...but here it is...

Got it, Jeep, thanks. That wasn't the point, though. If the oblivious Dean dude who claims to be the bamca webmaster has only appeared on this board twice to rant about how hard his job has been then wouldn't it make sense that he would have posted the correct link and not leave it up to your detective work or mine?:confused:
Jeep'rs 07-12-2010, 06:50 PM not everyone is as smart as you and I! LOL

Ain't it the truth! Scary, huh...?:lol::lol:
