Hi everyone,

I finally finished up the Cooper here is a look

Boy this one is a chore to demold due to the way it wraps around the chassis. Also this car has something I have wanted for a long time and that's dual flange wheels with an insert. These came out great. The wheels are JW's Indy Wheeels. If I can get them made with half the height on the outside edge in aluminum with the insert I have they are dead on for the wheels on the Cooper. That makes a Porsche 804 and Cooper T51. On the drawing board is a BRM P57 and Ferrari 156. So what other cars from the early 60s should I look for

Having fun

...of those old Hasegawa eggplane kits... :) - somebody else remember those?

Anyway: I love them both (Rogerīs creations as well as the eggcrafts)!

Rog, did you carve them all by yourself - out of nothing?

Best regards and greetings from Germany,

Claus

Both started life as 1/43 diecast. I made a mold then a tinb slosh cast and cut with scissors the joined the pieces with resin. The Cooper I put over an old chassis with axels the worked clay on the rear end and bottom of the sisdes, I ten took resin and a paint brush and flowed the resin over the body. Kept doung this till I got the shape I wanted. I then made a mold a slosh cast. Made a solid plug of this and fine tuned it added gas capa and mirrors.

Hey Roger did you ever try shrinking hydrospan in a toaster oven or a microwave? I've read you can shrink in a toaster oven at 225 degrees fairenhite. Being very carfull to watch it's progress. Just curious.
