I got this car in a deal and do no know what it is !! Seller had 2 cars and wouldnt sell for a good price unless I got both,

I'd say it's an Associated 10L superspeedway with a composite craft aftermarket chassis.

Im now impressed! I look at a couple of images after what you mentioned and I believe you are on the money. any idea when they were around? Looking at the tx, its not a new item! the tires and battery are in great shape though.
are these things sought after? ie are they still useful?

10l ss was released in late 91'. I got 1 of the first tower had.

It may work well on Oval. Depends on the track. Current Oval cars have a lot more adjustment and have been refined quite a bit. Sought after/worth much, I doubt it.
