Hi I have a 7hp Snow Blower with a tecumseh engine, I can get it started after cranking it excessively and when it starts, I can only keep it going by pushing the primer bulb, and only at full choke. If I stop priming it and let it run at full choke it stalls out. If Cut the choke back to 1/2 it stalls out.

I pulled the carb and figure is needs cleaning, I checked the large bow screw and the checked the hole it is clear..... is there anything else I need to do?

Thanks!!!

No doubt there are 2 or 3 tiny holes located in that bowl nut.....Strip a bread tie and poke thru all the holes, then squirt through the holes usung a can of carb cleaner. This may get you going, but there is more that should be cleaned for a thorough job....

please use goggles and face mask when using the carb cleaner substance it has a tendency to splatter

Learned that the hard way. That stuff stings!!!!!!
Clean the bowl nut thuroughly. If that does not help then a soaking may needed. Make sure the primer hose at the carb is solid. Pron to rot at this connection.

Hi, I see 2 holes in the bowl nut one( at the base ) that goes all the way through, another tiny one at the top of the threads it looks like does not go through both sides of the nut. Is there only 2 holes on the bowl nut? What are these these both the high idle jets? Or do they control different things?
I cleaned them both well with air and carb cleaner.
