Serpent have released further details of their soon to be released 1/8th scale chassis, the 966, this time focussing on the cars new braking system. The bracket shown supports the 2-speed shaft on the gearbox side, and together with its left counterpart, make the shaft run 100% true and free. It also supports the ball-raced aluminium hard anodized brake-cam and the spring-loaded brake-assembly which encompass the brake pads that are mounted at the lowest point in the car to keep the centre of gravity at its lowest possible position.
