OK, by some weird stroke of luck, I keep placing high enough in these drag events to get seeded into the next rounds! Go figure:rolleyes:

Just think what I could do if I had the slightest idea what I was doing!:freak:

Here are my next two donations, er...I mean race entries! The first is my 1968Plymouth Barracuda A/Gas Altered. Though a drag freak, I had never thought of this theme for a build. So a million thanks to you Gunn for giving us a wonderful opportunity to build and race such cool cars!

This is my first attempt at ths type of car, but overall I am pretty happy. I would do few things over on the next one, but this one rolls pretty straight, so I'm going with it!

Next is my second build for Pat's Texas Tri-Fecta. I think I finished second after three rounds in the first event with my Plymouth Duster, so now were racing Milk Trucks!

Though not anything special, it's fairly clean an rolls smooth so it's a go! I did mess up the paint on the left front light bezel, but since the cars have to be in by 7th, I just have to roll with it.

BUT I want to say thanks to all you guys on the boards for something I did with this casting. Pat is always talking about using files to clean up factory casting prior to painting. Then after he started the thread regarding the files he had available, I thought ..."OK, it's time to step up". A quick visit to my local Harbor Freight tools made me the proud owner of a nice 15 piece set.

This is my first opportunity to use these and I really see how well they worked. The windows were ROUGH and now...smooth as a baby's back side. So thanks to Pat and everyone for the encouragement to be better. This was a big step forward for me!

Thank for the look gang!
Ward

Wow Ward!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Both are very very sharp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great paint!!!!!!!!!!

I have no doubt considering your Downhill Racing reputation that they will roll real well.
There was a stolen '68 Cuda on the X-Files last night, could be a good omen!!!!!!

I'm going to have to steal pics of your Dairy and post them on the other Custom Boards for our other Racers to see.
I received our first Trifecta Dairy in the mail day before yesterday.

The Cuda looks real mean sitting up like that with the pipes coming out the fenders.

Good Luck in both Races,
Oh Yeah, real good pics there!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys, but for once...the photos make the cars look better then they do in real life. So the paint is really just ok.

Maybe I should put as much time into my painting as I do the photography!

If more people see the pictures, I'd say you chose well in the first place.

"Ready to run"------------

Sounds like "Born to Run"------------

That's a title that could make some great Graphics for a DownHill Race !!!!!!!!!!
I might have to use that on something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
