Stratus54 01-31-2009, 12:07 AM Well its that time again... so whats it going to be this year? You know.. so and so's car was sooo much faster on the straight than mine they had to be cheating. Last year it was timing so they wont use that... maybe tuning ESC's with laptops and secret go fast programing... or maybe super cheater Lipo's in legal cases
Cant wait, always great reading for a few weeks :woohoo:
Alan Behler 01-31-2009, 12:52 AM it has been a very fair week so far. why start something that doesnt need to happen

casper60 02-02-2009, 03:00 PM Can anyone tell me what numbers they were using to tech motors for resistance? I know the minimum on a 21.5 was 53. What about the 17.5 and 13.5 motors?

17.5's were 39-33 for the spec due to it being open motor brands. I am not sure what the spec on 10.5s was as I didnt run that class.
I ran Novaks in both cars. 21.5 was 58-59 on each pole and 17.5 was 36-37 on each pole.

casper60 02-02-2009, 04:21 PM Good deal. i just got some new stuff in and wanted to see how far off they were. My 21.5 was down there with someone else and ended up getting pulled because the number on one pole was just a tenth below minimum.
nitro4294 02-02-2009, 05:08 PM It's always entertaining to read all the trash and such after a big race. So far things are quiet, but i suppose thats because not everybody is home yet. :jest::roll:
erock1331 02-02-2009, 07:30 PM Out of curiosity since 17.5 was an open motor class, did one motor seem to dominate or one motor/esc combo just light it up ?
adamliehr 02-02-2009, 08:05 PM Most used Novak. Terry Z and I ran Duo's.

EAMotorsports 02-02-2009, 10:45 PM ohms right?
Micro henries or what ever they use to measure them. They were measured from ABC to the node ring. This method checks each pole by its self to prevent people from removing one strand or wrap from the motor.

Echeconnee 02-02-2009, 10:49 PM Thanks Eric
Tommy Boy 02-03-2009, 12:16 AM i think 13.5 was 19-23. could be wrong, but mine was 22. not exactly on the low end of the range, but still performed very well.
