Hello Group: New Member as of today 6/07/08. I am a fire Lookout with the Calif Dept. Of Forestry in The Lake Tahoe area of N. Calif. I recently purchased a new Generator from Harbor Freight Tools. Its a Chicago 2200/2400 watt with a Jiangdong Jf168 5.5 hp engine" Well I am looking for a manual or Schematics to help take it apart. They are attempting to fix it themselves which is rather stupid if you ask me, but they insisted so does anyone know where to get a manual for it? Or anything of the sort?

They usually have the owners manual with an illustrated parts list available for download on the Harbor Freight website. Just locate your generator and there is usually a link for the manual.

The Jiangdong is a chinese knock off of the Honda GX160. Most parts are interchangeable from Honda to Jiangdong (and are better quality), but be careful not to make emission changes from brand to brand.
