View Full Version : Earnhardt Decals
aelancaster 01-27-2009, 05:14 PM Need help finding some #3 decals to fix up a silver Monte Carlo like Sr. ran one year for the Winston All Star race in Charlotte. Tried Pattos, but if he has them I can't find them. Would like to find a set that would include all the orange numbers and the correct sponsor decals as well.
Thanks
Andy

NTxSlotCars 01-28-2009, 01:26 AM the taz car???
Naw man, it was the silver GoodWrench car with orange numbers and stripes. It was 94 or 95 when he lost it in turn four and ran Darrell Waltrip into the wall, knocking them both out of the race.
:drunk::thumbsup:
aelancaster 01-28-2009, 08:13 AM Yes that is correct. The silver with orange numbers. This was the first year that anyone ran a specific paint scheme and Richard Childress and Earnhardt Sr. were the first to roll this out. The stayed under a cover until right before the race.

GoodwrenchIntim 01-28-2009, 09:02 PM I have 100's of decal pics on my pc, Ill look through then some more I may have them but not printed. If I can find them Ill print you a set an send them to you. They will be regular printer decals(no white printed) but should work ok on silver
aelancaster 01-29-2009, 10:24 PM Thanks that would be great. They are turning out to be rather elusive.

aelancaster 01-30-2009, 09:39 AM Thats the decals, just need to find them in HO.
roadrner 01-30-2009, 10:11 AM You could always pick up the 1/24 set, scan them into your PC and then with the right application, resize them into HO scale. May save you time and some aggravation. :) rr
aelancaster 01-30-2009, 04:26 PM Sounds easy, I am just not PC savvy.
NTxSlotCars 01-31-2009, 11:54 AM HO Express used to make these in HO.
aelancaster 01-31-2009, 02:07 PM Do they still have a web site? Tried to google it, no luck.
NTxSlotCars 01-31-2009, 05:26 PM The only place I have been able to find HO Express decals on the web is here. http://www.lucky-bobs-slot-cars.com/ho-express1.html
You might email him and see if he can still get them.
I got mine years back from Slotfather on Ebay. His actual shop was about 25 minutes from me, but he's not around anymore.
