I know setups vary greatly depending on driving style, track, ect. I'm just looking to get a good indoor/outdoor baseline setup for an Associated FT RC8. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you don't have big bores just use the stock springs, 1.4 pistons with two additional 1.1 mm holes drilled in them (#56 or #57 drill bit), 35 weight oil.
