I have some hard case Lipos and was wanting to keep them from getting scratched up. I was wondering if putting heat shrink over them is ok like on the nimh packs would be ok? I can't see any where the pack breaths but thought I would ask before I done it.

I wouldn't do it. The hard cases (like orions) are split so if the lipo swells due to misuse, damage, etc the case splits apart. If you were to heat shrink around it, it could possibly stop the case from splitting, and you wouldn't know your pack is bad till it was too late!
