my 13 year old son just bought a Losi XXXT cr with no motor.or electronics we have a 13 Turn peak motor we need to install my problem is I have only a 19t pinion gear and the spur gear is an 86 tooth will this work. The chart on geachart .com has this as an 11.oo ratio is that ok. I have no Idea about gearing so if any one can point me in the right direction that would be great. articles basics on gearing anything.

You will be good with that gearing. You will be still good up or down one tooth on the pinion.
