harristotle 01-24-2009, 07:06 PM By Holy Land, I mean the land of Shelby's :D
When I was home over break my family and I were able to take a trip to the Shelby Factory in Las Vegas. I've finally got some spare time, so I thought I would share some of the pics and vids here...

The main things I came away with for souvenirs were a copy of this years Shelby magazine and this Shelby Collectables that I've been looking for for quite a while,

craftymore 01-26-2009, 01:07 AM Killer pics Mike! The red Dodge sedna actually looks cool. Cograts on the '06 GT-H score as well.
GLH Turbo 01-26-2009, 10:24 PM Thanks for the pics Mike. It brings back memories of when I went there back when Shelby was at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
I like the pictures of the Shelby Dodge cars (which was the main reason why I went back in the day). All they had at the time was a bunch of Shelby Series 1 cars in the front showroom. My wife (g/f at the time) talked them into letting us into the back garage area and that is where I found all of the Shelby Dodge #1 cars. It looks like they moved Shelby's personal '86 GLH-S #001 to another location (CSX's are also missing), I wonder if he is still driving it. If I could have any car in the world, that would be the one.
The red sedan is actually a Shelby Lancer (not to be confused with the Dodge Lancer Shelby) . It was powered by a 2.2L Turbo Intercooled 4 cylinder which made 175 HP and 175 lb-ft. Production was limited and serialized to 800.
berschneider06 01-27-2009, 05:24 PM The supersnake is one awesome mustang, especially the 725hp one with no warranty!! And that motor is just crazy looking,is that a centrufical supercharger built into the front of it?
AQUA XK8 01-27-2009, 06:12 PM I didn't know that place was in Vegas. :freak: I've been there a couple of times and never saw signs or whatever advertising it. Next time I'll visit it, too. That looks like a very cool place to go. Thanks for the pictures.

That is the series one engine, a 4.0 Oldsmobile V-8, and I'm fairly certain that it is a supercharger on the front. They made them with and without the supercharger. The non supercharged was 320hp.

I would HIGHLY recommend visiting. It's right by the speedway, and you can see it from the 15. The museum and the tour are both free, and they now have the cafe that's open too. They just finished redoing the museum a couple months ago and it is a lot nicer since.
