While at Tuesday Morning today, I ran across only one of these 1/18 scale Maisto G Ridez models, a 1951 Volkswagen featuring either "Caracteristiques, Wheels by Roues Par, or GFG forgedmodularwheels". They had the normal Special Edition versions, like a BMW Z4 and a Chevrolet SSR, but only the one G Ridez.
What really drew my attention was another label indicating the model is a Maisto Hobby Limited version.
The model has a unique color-changing paint job, dark green to purple and vice versa. Only seen this on one NASCAR model in 1/24 scale. This is what actually enticed me to buy it as well as the Hobby Limited label.
The model was priced a little over what Sam's Club usually gets for Maistos. Got it for 14.99.
What are the Hobby Limited runs typically? Are they in fairly low numbers? Less than 5000? And where does one find out this kind of information, if not here?
Thanks!
