I was goofing around tonight cutting up bodies, and think I found my vintage Indy car for the Mega-G chassis. I will make a rough mold of this this coming weekend, and play around with it. I will make the first mold to cast the F1 Lotus. I will make a second mold once I take a casting and build up the top of the engine cowling from the rollbar back for the Indy car, circa '81-85.

Well, I put some time in the body today and lowerd the sidepods. It's getting closer to where I will cast it as the F1 Lotus, then take some of those bodies and build up the engine cowling area to get to the Indy Car look. Looks much more "Sinister" with the black wheels than the chromes.

It looked good just as it was -- can't wait to see it finished. :)

Thanks guys. I'll have some more progress shots up tonight after I close in the bulge on the top of the side pods, and close in the nose.

top of the sidepods closed in over the magnet bulge. It's the best it's going to get until the casting starts. I still have to close in the bottom side of the nose area, then the RTV molding begins for the first version.

Ok, here id the F1/Indy ready for me to make the first mold for resin casting. I am going to try my hand at casting a separate rollbar. Also, I cut out the rear wing but left the sideplates attached to the molded struts holding the sideplates. it makes for a stong rear wing. Who am I to chamge it's original design? The rear wing will be cast separate and be able to glue in between the sideplates and will rest on the struts.
