Hi Mike,

You have a very RARE Shelby. I can't remember the whole story about it.
There were two versions of the car. The green one with signature you have and a blue one without the signature. I believe that Brooklin only made a short run with the signature and they ended up having to stop production on the blue one because they didn't have Shelby's permission to do it. Do you have any pictures of your car you can post ? I would love to have the green one to go along with my blue one. I'm sure someone else will chime in with some additional info. Take care and have a great week.

Welcome to Hobby Talk Mike!

You have an EXTREMELY RARE 1/43 scale Brooklin Model!:woohoo:

I have over 200+ Brooklin Model cars in my collection, but your green 1968 Shelby GT500 Mustang is my Holy Grail.

I have 3 of the blue 1968 Shelby GT500 Mustangs in my collection. I think they were released in 1988. That's when I bought my first one.

The green 1968 Shelby Mustang GT500 that you have was never sold from what some collectors have told me. It was given away from what I've been told. I've been trying to get one for 20 years. About 2 years ago there was one on eBay. It sold for over $1200.00. I bid on it, but when it went over $700.00 I quit bidding on it.

Do you have a certificate of authenticity that I'm told came with the car? A few fakes have shown up over the years.

Please tell me more about the contest where you won the car, and post some pictures of the car.

Here's a couple of pics of the blue 1968 Shelby GT500 Mustang.

If your are going to sell it, ePay is the fairest way for the seller and buyer of this EXTREMELY RARE car. I'll be bidding on it for sure!

That is a great car. I am just now discovering the in's and out's of the Brooklin cars, and the history of this one makes it the coolest one I have seen yet! Way to go Mike, welcome to Hobby Talk!
