if you have not filled ot the questionare form for the velo, you still can, just go to g-manracng.com and you will find it there. The main purpose is to give Gerry ideas on what the racers want for the 09 season, that way with all the changes coming aboard that a desion can be made about rules for the classes.

its will more then likely be a 2.0 or 2.5 brushless set up with 8 or 9 cells.

Velodrome races that will be running nascar classes-

We need to find a battery motor combo that we are going to stick with the entire year. Everybody knows that there will be a battery released about mid summer that will be better then the current lipo packs, we need to avoid this. I think we should get somethign in stone over the next couple of week so everybody can start purchase the right motor battery combo. I vote for a novak motors and SMC 40c 5200 packs. I vote for 17.5 and a 10.5 class for nascar racing.

rumor as it that we may only have six hours to race instead of eight.. NOT by Gerrys choice ,but per Major Taylor velodrome will allow us.. but its still up in the air yet.

Jon is the 17.5 lipo as fast as the 10.5 4 cell......? That is what you tested with in the last race right....?? Looks like that is what I might start working on building.....

Looks like that is what I might start working on building..... considering the track conditions and how my car was handling, i think the 17.5 lipo will be around the speed of the 10.5 4 cell, i turned some 12.3 and 12.5 laps but, my lipo i had was low on voltage and high on irs, so i bet it may have been faster with a better lipo, but it was a good test.

They ran 1/4 scales years ago, one cleared the wall and nearly hit some people.I believe insurance reasons is why they don't run them anymore.

velo experts......
dodge intrepid SS narrow oval protoform #1224-21
2000 taurus SS light weight protoform # 122-21L
2000 pontiac HD SS lightweight protoform # 1219-21
1998 taurus HD lightweight protoform #1217-21

which of these body's is the best for velo racing, honestly...........

have somemore new old stock body's. i've been going through them to seen what i had to use for the big track.
previous post someone said any body would work.....yes, but what would be the best if i had to use one these? see wind tunnel link earlier post as well. thanks! for any input here.

huffrcman
02-12-2009, 11:17 PM
I would look for a HS body, the SS Intrepid narrow is the best one you listed. The light weight bodies are a no no at the velo.
