zeb41 01-20-2009, 06:43 AM Check this out guys. I found these links on JL Talk and thought you might like to see some other customizing techniques.

dipstick 01-20-2009, 08:33 AM Cheez and Rice! All he is doing is stomping on them, signing them and getting $900 for it. Guess everyone tries to capitalize.
I have actually been thinking about doing that to one of my 1/64th Generals.....
wildbill63 01-20-2009, 12:10 PM Dang, Bo must need some cash! Big Dukes fan but to see Schneider doing this kind of thing cheapens it for me. Like he's making fun of the very thing that brought him fame for some quick dollars. "And another one bites the dust!"
dipstick 01-20-2009, 12:46 PM WBill - had a taste of that in my mouth as well............... He sold his General at BJ last year.
Newjon 01-20-2009, 01:09 PM Guess it beats a real job :o.
jnkfleet 01-20-2009, 01:30 PM VERY sad to see that...He's got the technic right though, and the price from one just unboxed ,signed, replaced versus this version? Money makes people do this.
I wonder how many of those he got as benefits/perks anyway, he can probably spare a couple hundred or so.
Good video..Thanks Zeb! I'm off to locate a 1/24 General like I had early in my collecting.

Wouldn't be so shameless if he donated the proceeds.
Oh well, it's a free country an all that crap.

stang_crazy 01-20-2009, 11:58 PM i may be in the minority here, but i actually think its kinda kool.
Yeah, me too! Better to have one stomped by a Duke than just some guy looking to make a buck. If I could stomp on a diecast, sign it and sell it for $900, I would too!:p
Thanks for the link BTW. Very cool!

wildbill63 01-21-2009, 03:47 PM Everyone has opinions and I respect yours, really I do. It just seems to me he is making fun of all of "us," meaning that all he has to do is stomp on one of these cars, sign his name to it and those stupid "little car guys" will buy em up like crazy, just because "he" was Bo Duke and the car is the General Lee. I, like yourselves, would do it too if I thought it would bring some money my way. But then again I'm not an ageing actor/wanna-be singer/song writer grasping at all I can to keep me in a lifestye that I enjoy!
I can see that as well. "I can sign anything and those guys will buy it" attitude, but it kinda seems like he's enjoying what he's doing. A little bit of thought as to how the car would land, bending the parts out with pliers and making sure to save the parts that come off each individual car so it can be glued back. His signed 1/25 are only $25.00 which isn't a whole lot. I would Hazzard (pun intended!) a guess that that $900 bid is fake. :)
