Hey everyone,
If you are old enough to remember the Cox Powered cars of the 70's.well they are hopefully making a come back.A company called Autoworld/round 2 is bringing them back,They have started with the Vega Funnycar, and if it does well thye might bring back the dune Buggy and or the Baja Beetle. The Vega funny Car should be out around June.Ihave seen some box Art and Its very cool and has a retro style to it.Autoworld will put info on their webpage in a couple months or so,But you can email them and they will confirm this info.www.autoworldslotcars.com.
if any one on here likes these car and knows other people who do as well please spread the word.

I had a Cox gas powered gear driven Chaparral and a Shrike w/ a propeller in the rear that drove it forward by air power.

I wish I still had them...

I don't venture over here too often so I would like to say Hello.

My neighbor had the Dune Buggy. I remember it being metalflake orange but I may be wrong.
We had a blast playing with that thing in the alley.

I had the PT-19 trainer plane and got two flights out of it before I crashed it and sheared the elevator in half. I wrote COX but they never responded!

Cheers

I can smell the gas they ran on now...

I had a little lime green stuntplane too, but you're right. They were kind of hard to control, especially when you're standing there spinning around in a circle to control it, with all those gas fumes floating round. :p

The first Cox powered car that I saw, was "tethered" by a string, and cement nail in Dad's garage. It was kool, for about 45 mins.. I was a extactic 8 yr. old to recieve from Santa the Cox dune buggy with the locking steering, it was neat to run in the snow!!! I will check with www.autoworldslotcars.com., and cheer them on!!!

I've got a '57 Chevy-tethered down the middle! I just remembered!!
