Hey people were back, 2009 offroad at Classic RC Raceways.

Hi guys and girls just wanted to get the tread stared so we can get a feel for what is gonna happen this year.
The Offroad track will get its new face lift starting in March. It's gonna be bigger and better than ever. Were going back about 20', and about 30-40 feet wider. What I wanna do is make it bigger so we can have about 12 to 15' lanes instead of 8 to 10. I want to make it a little eaiser for a little side to side action this year instead of waiting for just the right moment everytime.
This year the races will be on Saturdays not Sundays, this will make it eaiser for alot of you guys to make it and to get new racers.
Racing fees will be 15.00 first class,10.00 for the second, and 5.00 for third.
I will be posting the schedule shortly for the big races we plan to have and the points series that will be ran this year. We got one year under are belt, learned alot of what to do's and not to do's so this year is looking a lot better then last. And last year was a great year getting 45-50 entries almost at the end of the season. Pretty good for not having the track till half the season was already gone.
Talk to you all soon.

Hi Steve, this is the guy that keeps showing up at your indoor track. I'm hoping some other trucks show up for indoor racing. Winters boring and we have quite a bit to go so if anybody plans on going on Sundays shoot me a pm!

Anyhow, to Steve and the guys who race there, what classes are most popular for the outdoor? And what does everyone plan on running this next season? My Evader's gearbox is having a tough time holding my new Castle 5700kv so I'm shopping for something else. Another 1/10th stadium truck would be cool or possibly a 2wd or 4wd buggy.

Hello,
This Is Jeff. I Was Sitting By Steve On Sunday And Talked To You A Little Bit About Your Evader. I Run A Slash, E-revo And A Kyosho Rb5 2wd Buggy On The Dirt. The Most Popular Electric Class Last Year Was 10th Scale Truck Like Yours. I Ran My Buggy With Them Most Of The Time Due To Lack Of A Buggy Class.
Anyhow Hope To See You At The Outdoor Track.

Scott - Try the 4600kv motor. I've been through the 5700, 6900 & they're to hot for low bite track. I have two. One in a buggy & one in my 4wd.

I'm looking to run 1/8 E buggy this year. Anyone else thinking about a conversion????

There is a list of 10 of us on another local tracks thread. Most are buggy and a few are truggy.

We should have a really good crowd for the 8th scale this year. Last year was pretty good but with the lanes being wider this year it will make it alot eaiser to drive.

Thanks for the advice the other day Jeff. I'm thinking I probably should go ahead and get a T4 but I'm still milling it over.

Thanks for the suggestion Hangtime. I probably should have got the 4600kv to start with, the 5700kv is pretty insane! I didn't understand how much power it had when i bought it. Its amazing how far the technology has come since I was a kid running a Tamiya Frog with the stock 540 and a Traxxas Sledgehammer with a mild 19t.

Hi Bob, I'm closer to Classic and it looks like a nice set up so I'll probably race there more often however I'll check out what some other local tracks are doing. It would be nice to have one vehicle that fits the rules at multiple tracks.

Anyhow, there's still a lot of winter left, anybody who wants to run the indoor offroad at Classic give me a holler!

I can bring my slash this Sunday so you will have someone to run with. Maybe Jason will be there with his too.

Both of my 4600's are virtually brand new. I might trade you one if you want a 4600. I now have a 4wd that the 5700 will work in better. I had the 4600 in my truck that I sold. LMK

If I come up to run Andy 4wd this year, I'm gonna need the extra grunt. LOL
