Yes, the dirt oval is in the middle. There is a 2' section of concrete down the edges of the straights, and 4' on the ends. It gives plenty of room inbetween the two tracks.

Did you say concrete edges? Do the walls still have that plastic stuff to protect the cars? Is that plastic stuff on the inside walls also?

Just wanting to see what you have there for car protection. You remember those nice tight races there and accidents happen (especially if I am racing)..

Yes, the border is still out of the white soft rail, and the border on the inside is new and the same.

The concrete is flat along the bottom of the track. It is able to be drove on it just gives you the line you need to see comin round the corners, and it also give you alittle distance inbetween each track so you are not right up against the rail.

Well guys the track is coming along nicely. Almost got all the grass planted around the outside and inside of the tracks. Next week I will paint the outside wall, and the new lines on the track. Should be installing the new fencing, walkway up to the track, and the new speaker system the following week and then we will be ready for some action. I'll post pictures next week so everyone can she what its lookin like.

Steve,
Last I looked there was an inner wall on the asphalt track. Is that still there? That wall would make a quarter scale car look like a pinball machine.

I think that the wall needs to be removed forst, or have people tried it yet?

Just my thoughts, hate to tear up the car.

If I could get a couple of you guys to come out this sunday and try this out, that would be great. We'll see how it works, if you guys dont like it then I will remove it. It will be a test and tune day for the you guys and I can get some opinions from you on what will work best for you, then I will go from there. I have no problem removing the wall I just want to make sure what all I need to do that way when i do it i can get it done as quickly as possible.
