Great pictures you took! Saw the new M2 Muscle cars at 3 different Targets yesterday. Unfortunately, they were not impressive at all. The Chevelles are by far the worse of the bunch with a ridiculous looking engine, way too big door gaps and a low rider stance in the rear. The car just does not look right to me. One of the Mopars engine was equally ridiculous in it's size. To small! It was that way on every version of that model I saw. It appears it was set in way to far forward in the engine bay as well. (Maybe it being small just gave that impression?) And the air cleaner was sat to far in the back of the engine. The paint looked nice on the Mopars I saw. But they had door gap issues as well. I know all diecast lines have quality control issues but IMO, these are more like design issues.

Lets hope these issues are addressed.

I have a question for those of you that have taken the cars out of the package... Are the bases screwed on or riveted? If they are screwed on, I am wondering if the door alignment issues can be adressed by the buyer. I have done this myself with a couple of my shelby collectibles cars. The bases are easily removed and the doors can sometimes be adjusted by messing with the screws and washers holding the doors on.

Base is held on by screws.

Base is held on by screws.

That is some of the best news I have heard in a long time! :)

I really like the detailing on the interior as well. Looks like I'm headed to the trade boards to get me a set.

Stew, where are you from?
That purple superbee is the only M2 that's been bought at my wally's...
the other 5 are still hanging.

I really hope they reissue those dogdish hubcaps for the roadrunners... I'd love to replace the Kelsey/hayes rims with some all black steelies or some dogdish caps...

door gaps...you got to remember these are 1/64th scale cars. if you close the gap up any more it will cause paint chipping. i've looked at alot of these cars and so far i have not seen any bad gaps. not saying there are none out there but what ive seen thay look great. pics taken close up will magnafi the gap making it look worst than it really is. i have started buying m2 and im happy with what i have. larger scale cars you can get a good fitting door.

I like the M2 cars also, them ans Greenlight are my 2 biggies right now when it comes to collecting. I was dissapointed in the Shelby cars, but the M2s are really good, though the motor does look like it is set too far forward in the engine bay. One thing with the door gaps, when you take it apart they are held on by little screws, tighening those up seems to help a bit.
