Hi,
The easiest thing to do (although not so easy for someone just starting out) is to find a set of tires off another car that fit. Those battery operated cars tend to have tires that are a very hard rubber & they don't hook up well.

You could also coating the tires with silicon. I have heard of others doing this with some success.

A third choice is have a custom set of tires made. There are a couple of companies out there who can make custom tires from your samples.

i do ho scale, and use o rings up front on some cars.could this work for the larger scales?the car has oversize rims and low pofile tires, and yeah, theyre very hard, but remove easily

Technically, it's feasible, but I would not do it. In 1/32 some of the stability of the car not rolling in corners can come from the front tires having some width to them. The fronts don't need any sort of major traction, per say, but they do need to be true and able to stabilize the car when going through a corner.

Hhhm? Probably the closest they will come to 1/32 is 1/36 or 1/28 - something like the Losi Micro stuff or the Kyosho Mini-Z's. The 1/36 might be too small and the 1/28 too big.

ok.i am not sure if it is 1/32 now, seems a little big.but too small for 1/24.are there larger scale cars than 1/24 made for slots?it is much smaller than the 1/24 car i was racing at my buddys.just a hair smaller than my amt 1/25 cobra model...it is about 5 1/2 inches long.

As far as I'm aware, there are:

HO
1/72
1/64
1/43
1/32
1/24

In scales for slot cars. I've heard of someone setting up and doing a 1/18, but that is not so "mainstream."

Now, there are some 1/32 that look a bit big and that maybe what you are dealing with, but they are still based on 1/32. Just like HO, 1/72, and 164 get confused a lot or usually just all get lumped into HO only.

I'm sure you have a 1/32 car.
