Very nice:thumbsup:
When these E - F -G boxes were shipped, they were shrink wrapped in bricks from pix I have seen online - are these Lincolns with E boxes all or mostly from the same brick and thus identical aside from trunk inner numbers or were they purchased separately because they are all a bit different?

I can't decide which one I like the most. Mmmmmm. I choose the green one! I guess it's always good to have a backup.

Good eye, I was thinking that myself and yet then again there is that other one, yes..., right there! The green one, that's it, that's the one!
I always liked that casting, dont know why. It always held "special" status when I played cars. Thanks Mountain for the pic.

That great big opening trunk was great for the imagination.....and when I was playing with mine Starsky & Hutch was new on TV and my beater was just as cool as Hutch´s heap, and my new no 1 Dodge Challenger was a fine Torino substitute.....havent thought about these for years but memories are still there:wave:

sms88, most of the boxed models were from I/2 gross or gross lots, as with some of the blisters. the harder to find blisters were from good old fashion leg work all during the lesney era.

i like the green one better than the green one. :)
glad you like the picture wildbill63

was able to get a good picture of the plate number difference on the green lincolns, the main difference can be seen in the spacing between the top right of the x and the 9. the top plate has a thicker frame with angled corners below the l and 2. the bottom plate can be more associated with metallic blue, all of the blue models i have contain the bottom plate style.

not the best picture of the inside brace and post difference.

license plates usually have variations, here is the rw #11 scaffolding truck front plate, different rear plate too (no picture)

A gross is 144 cars if I remember my school lessions correctly.....from Harold´s shop? So the shrinkwrapped dozens of one individual casting that show up sometimes would have been boxed in 6 or 12 units, just one casting or one dozen of each casting in the box??? I can only dream of discovering a load of Lesney warehouse stock:)
If I owned so many Lincolns I would be tempted to swap the baseplates of 1 aqua rw with a met green Sf to make the ultra rare crossovers which exist in lunchbox special quantities

All we need to make this a complete discussion of the 31 Lincoln is the blue model in its red car E box:wave:

I'm a big rockabilly fan and that's one of the best car songs ever.
The Comander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen version smokes as well!
