swtour 01-14-2009, 12:12 PM I don't know how many 'Sensored' Brushless ESC's are now available...but the list is growing every day it seems.
Team Orion has introduced theirs now, built by KO PROPO.
Has anyone tried this one for oval racing?
Let's get a list of ALL the sensored controls
NOVAK
GTB
Havoc
XBR
SS
LRP
Sphere
Sphere Comp
Sphere Comp 07
Sphere Comp TC
and now their NEW ones...
TEKIN
RS
RS Pro
ORION/KO Propo
Fiegio<sp?>
Gran Tourismo
I know there's MORE...Who else is out there?
hankster 01-14-2009, 12:44 PM I edited your list to put in the Tekin models
ta_man 01-14-2009, 03:10 PM Lutach (on RCTech) also has two Sensored ESC models.
Mullins21 01-14-2009, 03:48 PM Novak Slyder
NovakTwo 01-14-2009, 04:30 PM Novak's SLYDR is an upgraded, BL only, GTB w/one motor mapping area instead of the GTBs' adjustable profiles.
We are also releasing--this week--our Havoc 3S speed control. This is different from the Havoc Sport/Spec (2s) esc offered in the 4 Havoc systems. The new 3S required both a hardware and firmware upgrade to add the 3s lipo cut-off circuitry. It should have a street price @99.00.
The PRs should be uploaded to our website today or tomorrow. The new PRs also include the information about our SmartBoost module for 1 cell lipo packs.
Echeconnee 01-15-2009, 09:54 AM NOVAK Mongoose in 21.5
jimmy24 01-15-2009, 10:57 AM Just saw the PR from Novak on the Smart boost for 1 cell lipo  Way to go Novak ! When will they be available?

The SmartBoosts should start shipping in February.
RCMits 01-15-2009, 03:11 PM I think the orion on is called the "Vortex". and on the KO side its called the "BMC"
The "Feigao's" make the Granturismo's :-)
uhm.. another chinese company "EZRUN" some 25a and 150a brushless/sensored and some sensorless esc's too really cheap. "gasp".
I think i even saw the LRP brushless sport esc's for like 100$ on ebay! :P
C43GO 01-15-2009, 05:37 PM I heard some guys are using the novak mongoose speedo and adding bigger wire for the size difference. also you have mamba brushlees stuff for the 18th scalers
RCMits 01-15-2009, 05:45 PM the mongoose looks like the ezrun with the "button" on the pcb board..

*scratches head* wow..

oh wait.. maybe its the other way around... i think yeah racing does OEM stuff.. hahah.
Echeconnee 01-15-2009, 06:55 PM you don't need any bigger wire for 21.5 and the 21.5 motor sensor wires plu right into the mongoose, it's a really nice controller. Best of all it's Novak!I heard some guys are using the novak mongoose speedo and adding bigger wire for the size difference. also you have mamba brushlees stuff for the 18th scalers
RCMits 01-15-2009, 08:16 PM so you saying a mongoose will work with 21.5 and lets say.. lipo 3200?
C43GO 01-15-2009, 08:43 PM thats what i have been hearing.
swtour 01-15-2009, 09:59 PM Mits with the low amp draw of the 21.5 motor, a MONGOOSE has been working fine for a lot of people...
It's not a HIGH END control, so for guys who are running at the upper end of the competition they MAY notice a difference..but if you aren't on that end....you probably wouldn't. (You'll see much more variance in your LAP TIMES from inconsistant LAPS)
RCMits 01-15-2009, 10:05 PM oh trust me.. you should rename me from ninja to "twitchy"... at least i dont dance like frank (oops.. hehehe *hides*) when i get a "riddim" going.. i get some really good lap times. its turn 3/4 i always have problems. i can't even blame "age" yet... hmm. maybe all these years of doubleshot espressos is finally catching up.
*sits down*
*rings bell*
*drinks green tea*
.....hmmmmm....
be one with the car.
ok back to ESC's...
ebay has alot of "china" branded ESC's im finding. just search "brushless esc" and you'll see the burst of them. creepy.. alot kinda look "novaky" too!
im happy with the GTB's so far.. but having somethign to tweak the settings would be so nice... :-) some of these cheapie ones have it!!
