When you decide what you need let me know I raced 1/24 for about 15 years and in the last year have switched to ho.I have many cars and high end controllers ready to go .All cars are straight with self centering guides a soldered in jigged bushings or bearings. All my stuff is scale no wings.A good starter car is a champion turboflex, not the fastest but durable and easy to drive.Any questions pm me.

I recommend the KISS rule. Keep it super simple. Parma 16D Flexi V or JK Cheetha 7 stock car and JK Cheetha 7 GT1 Sports cars with Parma S16D's. Also JK Cheetha 7 falcon Indy cars.
Three great cars to race. First two are sealed motors and the last is case sealed.
Get a 3 or 4 ohm Turbo Controller from Parma unless you can afford a Difalco controller which is around 216 to 254 range.
Gets some tools for working on your car along with oil and tire bite.
Get a good box and you are ready!!!

Personal preference is what a lot of slot car racing comes down to.
You should go to the track and ask the track owner and the rest of the people what they are running . Then try them out the TO should have some loaners cars that you could try. The same with the controllers be it 2 , 3 or 4 ohms try each . It will come down to what works best for you. Try and test run before buying. Raunchy
