Oh I gotta try to get some time off for this race. Went Last year for the first time and had a BLAST! What SK Classes are run there? I no Longer have a intact 1/12 scale, I lost that last year at Walts hobbies. Full speed head on into the outside wall, Generally leaves you with a broken chassis, Bent T-plate, and many many many other problems.

tird69,

It's actually the NEOT race #4 at RC Madness. I really don't think it should affect the JSMR very much. 1 cell 13.5....C'mon!!

What's the lipo heating rule for the Jeff Sears?

Here's what I propose. NO HEATING. You get caught once, you miss your run and you pit outside in the cold. Get caught twice, get thrown into Lake Champlain...with a punctured lipo tied to your nuts!

i agree on the no heating thing, just found out guys are now discharging the pack at high rate just before they charge and charging at 8 amps, packs are staying around 105 if done correctly, I have not done this as of yet, I think the 10 degrees above ambient is tough and leaves too much room for argurment, make a max temp with track temp gun, no exceptions to the rule, and stick with it, it would not bother me if the max temp was as low as 70 or 80 degrees, even playing field for all. oh ya, forgot, need someone to step up and actually tech, the head tech guy only shows up once in a great while,

either way this will be by far the best event in the northeast as it has been every year, I would pay to race at the jeff sears memorial before I would anywheres else for free................................get the picture.

I think that the battery temp issue can be controlled by using 1 temp gun from start to finish. That is the only one that matters. You should compare your own temp gun to the track temp gun and that should take care of any problems. I think a reasonable temp would be 75 max. Also we have talked about a max voltage of 4.22. If you don't meet the temp or the voltage spec's you won't be able to run that race.

It sounds like the voltage is more important then anything and there should be more then enough time that the battery should be ready 2 heats before you race(tech voltage at that point if you are caught screwing (recharging or heating) with your battery after tech you miss that run) , doing that would eliminate the temp issue (i would that the battery would be cool in 10 minutes so it would make no sense to heat)

Everyone will have a bad back at a big race now, Oh my back i need a heat pad.

and i got one those dog collars(zapper) that we can put on your nutz to give a boost.

RCRacer00
01-15-2009, 11:33 AM
I would normally be all over the 1/12 scale class. But this year I've done 0 racing and have updated none of my equiptment. It looks like i may have the day free to race this event. and I'll be up for running the SK class. Just read the rules on the other thread. which brush is the track brush? Integy? Now that i have my Lil track in Mass i can better set-up a car for this track.

here's the challenge, let's see if anyone is willing to make the trip to dethrone kenny the red rocket roberts at this track, if he drives a full race with no mistakes and does not get in any trouble i don't think anyone can beat him on this track,

so if yoy think your fast come to plattsburg and try your luck, I'm pretty sure you'll be scratching your head by the time the night is over....

congrats kenny on both records, I honestly feel with a perfect run in the feature your car is capable of 100 laps.

that's just insane:woohoo:

The COT car is fine , but going to detune the car for you so that you don't get more laps then me.

Wade,

I think your 100% right ? I have driven both cars and uncle wayne has driven sir Kenny Roberts car! The dame thing keeps on turning and doesn't stop! Full gas , half gas , even off the Gas she turns! Either car can be dragging on the ground 2 lbs over weight , change all kinds of shi? in between rounds they are all still fast! And 100% legal, they just dame turn? Even change cars from week to week? Dude I even give up!

Kenny you suck, but YOur still my BRO?

I might be there in 1 cell 13.5 driving for none other than Tommygun. Just need a couple things to complete the ride. I gotta make sure I keep my perfect attendance for the Jeff Sears, haven't missed one since this race began.

If you haven't been to the Jeff Sears you don't know what you're missing.
