These three are my favorites from Auction Block 7 ..

64 Malibu SS: Nice details on the chrome trim . no wide blobs.. The front grill was done perfectly this time ..

69 GS400 : looks better once I get up close to it.. Needs a little removal of chrome around the headlights. Nice detail with the interior / shifter.. Rear view looses some realizm . I can't open the hood far enough without pushing the windshield over..

69 Mach 1 : I like the stance .. front end looks good.. Wish they could get the taillights a bit more correct..

But two out of three models you won't find anywhere else in a 1/64th .. That's why I had to scarf em up

What do you guys think? keepers or passovers ?

Rear wing looks a little to close to the tail panel!

Steve, great pics - very impressive!!!
Now I have a question for you ... on the G.S. ....this car should have a very pronounce inward "V" shaped rear bumper...to me the coolest thing about a '68-'69 Skylark.
From your one rear shot the V looks minimal or non-existent. Can you shed some light on this perhaps with an aerial view?

Very cool pics! The Malibu looks like the rear axle is too far back in relation to the C-Pillar imo. The center of the wheel should about line up with the end of the C-Pillar. Perhaps I'm just wrong.

Thanks for sharing these awesome pics!

Steves..... as goofy as it looks ya still gotta grab 'em eh! I've learned to grab at least 2 of each.... displaying one, putting the others in the forget box. They get so friggin hard to find if you pass on one ceratain car.

Dave ,
I'm at work and seen your request .
I have one pic saved on my computer .. I'll take another one once i get back home ..
You can see there is a slightly pronounced "V" , but not the angle you were hoping for ..
That V is what makes the Buick sodamsassy over the other GMs derivatives

Here is one more pic showing the V to the back end ....

Thanks Craftymore.. Your right.. The first time I laid hands on the 65 Malibu , the axle looked a bit too far back. Maybe the size of the tires added to the impression. The 64 followed suit with the same look..
But ,, very forgivable... I owned a 64 Malibu ( not SS) 2dr hdtp .. loved that burner.. It's nice to have it in a 1/64th

I got both of these because nobody else does eitehr in this scale. Neitehr is 100% correct but the Chevelle probably comes closer than the Buick. Because the door does not slope downward slightly at the rear, and the 1/4 kickup is barely there, the rear of the car has way too much elevation, much like today's new cars, it has a tall tail end. These Buicks had a taper to the rear end that drew the eye lower and they were not as tall as this casting represents in that area. Everyone was right about the pronounced "V" effect as well. From overhead, the rear of these has almost a boomerang shape, very distinct and it is also barely there on the casting. The proportions are off as well. It looks like a 69 GS alright but not a correct one. Still, it is the only one out there and some aspects are well represented so, yes, I bought one. I do wish they had gotten it correct though, this, along with the 66 Skylark and 65 Wildcat, is my favorite Buick.
