The LiPo battery rules (http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=221111&page=8)state that the maximum temperature of the pack can be 110° max. for on-road and ambient +10° max. for oval. WHAT!!!! You say?

There really is a logical reason for this. Battery rules across the country have generally been 110° max for on-road and +10° for oval. Mike decided to carry those standards over to the Snowbirds instead of hearing a bunch of whining that racers will have to learn a new charging method.

It should come as no surprise that following a standard doesn’t mean everyone is happy. We’ve seen gnashing of teeth, the predicted doom of oval racing, human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

If racers put as much time into race prep as they did at their keyboards they might even move up a main or two. You know the rules, either race or go home!
