Found this good looking trailer, checked and it`s not too much work to change for slot trailer.
Next steps: change the truck hitch, change the trailer axles, raise the axles for the right height, change the trailer wheels to Faller rubber tires.
That`s it.

Thats a cool 50's era trailer would look great being towed by a 50's semi tractor. That gave me a great idea for a HW 50's style chevy pick up I have I wanted to cast but would have to do major shortening for a normal slot car, but the cab would be perfect for a semi chassis!! Woohoo!!

I really like those vintage-looking trailers. Couldn't you just pop the trailer axle cluster off of an AFX trailer and use that?

great suggestion  but I don`t have junk AFX trailer to strip, so
the only chance is to built a "AFX rear cluster copy" with this original stuff.

That is too cool. Great workmanship. I have a Freightliner Classic XL big truck and I mostly pulled reefers with it. Been trying to find a good copy of a diecast tractor with hopefully a reefer trailer also to fit a magnatraction.

Satallite1,

This is one nice Union Pacific vintage looking trailer! Hey I think you should have a train engine pulling it...just kidding. Looks great!

Click on the link below and I think you may find that your semi could be customized to look like a 50s version without to much trouble.

After you drive over the bridge from Council Bluffs, Iowa to Omaha, Nebraska there are 2 real nice Union Pacific Engines sitting on a hill display that say welcome to Omaha.

Need to get off my hiney and work on my custom trailer idea some day. Thanks for the inspiration...well not doing it yet but, when I do you can take the credit for getting me pumped up to get it done. lol

Bob...I live in Union Pacific land...zilla

I saw this wrecker and thought it would make a fine cab for a "classic" semi.
(Five down on the left this particular truck has a stars and stripes scheme)

and this is a pic of a cab over 1955
