If it packs well then it will be just a little longer before it "blows out". lol

Is it time to race yet? :D

Most of the rain went to waste anyway since for a couple weeks it was still dropping below 30 at night. But if they re-do the track like there has been talk of, the newly remodeled sections will be the most blown out by the end of the day for sure.

a couple questions, will 1/8th E buggies be allowed to run at litchfield? if so count on 4 us coming down for the weekend! also is there practice friday and can we camp out on the track grounds?

-Thanks

hey nick, it's Chad from washtenaw! Their ruling on the 1/8 buggies was 6 or more to make a class. I know of 6-10 that are planning on it, so I would call it a pretty sure bet there will be an E-1/8 class. And there should be plenty of room for camping at litchfeild.

Anyone have a good starting setup for a Losi CRT at Litchfield?

hankster
05-02-2009, 03:58 PM
The Losi stock out of the box setup is pretty close IMHO. Might want to go 5 lighter on the shock oil.

What about a setup for the xxx cr buggy? I don't even remember what weight oil is in my shocks anymore...

I wish it was time to race.

Although on the bright side for me my local track opened up today so I got to play in the dirt already. As for the rain, after we started driving on the track around noon the track was starting to dry out really good. Will it rain later in the month all week again who knows. lol

Hay ya all, Does litchfield have a campground near by, or camping on site? Thanks

You can camp at the track.

Loony
05-03-2009, 02:19 PM
I think you can camp at all the tracks- except GR, I don't know if we can there, and if we can where the tents would go. Not very much flat areas.

Whats the motor rule for the Slash/SC class?
The slashes have to run the Titan in the slash class. In the SC class it is the 17.5 or 21t stock class motors per the ROAR rules. For now we will allow the Titan in the SC class, but that may change during the year.

J Blaze

so their will be 2 class?slash class and sc class?

Fred B

Yes, 2 classes. Slash and the ROAR SC class.

A 12 turn motor against my 27 turn stock or my 17.5 brushless if It comes in time.
Are 12 turn Titans as slow as a 27 turn?

The way I understood it,
It was Titan motors in the Slash spec class
and 17.5 brushless in the SC class.
Am I wrong?

I would guess that we wouldn't see what the layout will look like until it gets closer to the race at state line.

Just a few more weeks before the fun starts. :( lol

The Titan is not a true 12 turn as most people would think about it and yes it is actually slower than a 27 turn and about dead even with a 17.5.

In the SC class the Titan's will be allowed for now. During indoor racing this winter the Titan vs. a 17.5 was close. It is more the driver than the motor. The Titan might be a 12T, but hardly the performance of a tricked out brushed 12T. The other question we have is what will the durability of the Titan be on large outdoor tracks. So this is why the rules say Titan's are allowed for now, but could change.

Thanks Fish and Devil,
I have no experience with a Titan motor and thank you for clearing that up. With the overheating problem I'm sure most Slash guys would run 17.5's anyway. But thanks for the quick reply.

Ok guys, I know this is crummy timming with only a week to go but I found out last night I messed up big on the tire rules I posted for the Slash and SC classes. I am sorry for this late change and ask for your forgiveness. Here is what they should be and have been changed to on the website.

In the Slash class you must use the stockSlash tires. 1/10th offroad truck tires are not allowed.
In SC class only tires that fit on the 2.2/3.0 or stock Slash wheel are allowed.
No cut tires are allowed in the Slash or SC classes.

Mac The Knife

So that eliminates running the proline switch tires and beadlocks, as they are a 2.2/2.2 rim and tire.

FishRC
05-08-2009, 11:30 AM
We would have to discuss it. I'm not sure. This is one of the inbetween things. The 2.2/2.2 rim is for the Slash. The Slash class requires the stock tire. A slash running in the SC class might have to switch to the 2.2/3.0 rims and tires. If we use a strict interpitaion. That was never discussed so I can't say yes or no to the 2.2/2.2 beadlocks on a Slash that is run in the SC class. The Proline Switch is available in the 2.2/3.0, Towerhobbies has wheels and some tires in stock for both the Slash and the SC10.

This is a new class, we will have to adress this and other issues next Friday/Saturday as they come up.

wonder if the slashes will be treated like the 1/18ths like toys that dont belong
