Guest rate applies to all guests. Any one attending not having raced 4+ MORL events this year fall into the Guest rate. Hmmmm Door prizes involved? My experience at the Washtenaw "end of the season event(s)" was everyone attending walked out with something of a door prize... (I suggest a children's rate, with no door prize eligibility, as a compromise) groundhogg 09-10-2009, 12:25 PM Or....... just smuggle them in. At ages 4 & 2, they aren't likely to eat much of anything anyway. They can just eat off your plate. Last year, I think my 4 year old ate a scoop of mashed potatoes. They are quite particular about what they will & won't eat. 420 Tech R/C 09-10-2009, 12:26 PM I am sure we can work out something. cool. will be up there between 7 or 8 this evening. NV529 09-10-2009, 10:15 PM whats the hot ticket tire for BFG? HERSHEYSQUIRTS 09-11-2009, 06:21 AM whats the hot ticket tire for BFG? Most locals run HOLESHOTS....... I prefer IFMAR PINS. Magook 09-11-2009, 12:09 PM Made it to the track, the layout if alot of fun. There are very limited grassy pit areas for the folks coming in Friday night and Saturday Morning. You might have to pit in a parking lot, just a heads up. Oh yea, No Paring on the concret!!! LOL REVO-Beat-U 09-11-2009, 12:34 PM Oh yea, No Parking on the concret!!! LOL Maybe because the concrete parking lot does not belong to the track? That concrete parking lot belongs to the cement company next door and they work on Saturdays so they dont like people parking up there during business hours. Would be kind of messy to get your car run down by a cement mixer! Mike Champ 09-11-2009, 05:17 PM whats the hot ticket tire for BFG? I run Panther Raptors on my 8th scale and 4wd and wookies and V-ribs on my truck. Soft Compound. Otherwise, the holeshots are a great tire for the track (and you won't have to bring them back with you home, since they will be done after one day of racing...lol) See you all tomorrow, bright and early... Mike munsonator008 09-11-2009, 08:52 PM If anyone has any associated t4 rear rims (quick connect) I need some also could use fronts but mainly rear rims let me know I will be there tomorrow Thanks Kyle Tdevil 09-11-2009, 09:11 PM We still have plenty of grassy areas for those coming in Saturday. For the most part, cars will have to be parked in the lots not by your canopy. Canopies will take priority over parking cars on the grass where a canopy could be put up. There are plenty of pit spaces inside if you don't want to haul your tables, chairs and canopy with you. See you in the morning!!!!! slashman 09-11-2009, 11:27 PM Losi-duck, I will be there bright & early. I did bring home all my stuff cuz I wasn't sure i was going to make it out. Hopefully my pit table where I was is still open. I'll be leaving around 6. Don't forget those stock motors. Thanks for all your help so far & for the parts. See you in the morning. FishRC 09-12-2009, 10:49 PM Ok, don't get used to this, yes this is early.... results are posted. Thanks everyone for a great race and the wonderfull turn out this year. LOSI_Duck 09-12-2009, 10:49 PM Well guys it was a great season, I meet a lot of new people this year and enjoyed their company. Thanks everyone for the good times hope to see you at the Banquet. (http://marsracing.com/battlefrontresults2009.pdf) Tdevil 09-13-2009, 12:08 AM Thanks to everyone for coming out today. My family (Jason - Tech, Janet - Cash Register/Babysitter, Jeanne (my wife) - Grill and Cash Register) and I did our best to provide an enjoyable experience for those of you that made the trip. Special thanks to those that helped put up the tarps on the driver's stand, blew off the track, volunteer marshaled and helped to clean up the area after everything cleared out. munsonator008 09-13-2009, 09:07 AM Would like to thank John DeMeester and family for everything they did , great turn out and Good food. slashman 09-13-2009, 10:43 AM I had a great time as well. This was my first time with a morl racw & I will do it again next year. Alot of fun racing & nice people. Just wished my axle pin would've held off for at least another 2 minutes. Oh well, at least I got a spectrum radio out of it. It was definetly alot of fun. slashman 09-13-2009, 10:47 AM I also would like to thank John & family for having such a nice track to race at. If it wasn't for them doing this, we would have no place to race. Thanks guys REVO-Beat-U 09-13-2009, 10:50 AM Good day of racing. We had a strong showing from the Western Michigan racers. Several of us played a little bit of the spoilers roll in the final points standings. All in all a fun day of racing. sbrady#0 09-13-2009, 10:56 AM now we all look forward to the banquet and alot more cool stuff and great food thanks to the BFG crew for all the work they did this week end hankster 09-13-2009, 10:59 AM Wish I could have made it. Had to work overtime... it's great when they lay off so many people everyone else has to work overtime :( Tdevil 09-13-2009, 11:23 AM Wish I could have made it. Had to work overtime... it's great when they lay off so many people everyone else has to work overtime :( Definitely missed you Hank. Took me a little bit with everything going on, but about halfway through the weekend it hit me that you weren't around. LOSI_Duck 09-13-2009, 01:48 PM As soon as I look through the pictures and delete the bad ones (sometimes you are all just too fast LOL) I will post the link to our Photo Bucket account. As my husband has already said we had a great season and met alot of new people. This is probably going to be our sons last year for racing. He is a senior and will be going to College next year and will not be able to race. The school he is interested in is a year round school and he will only get a month off in between graduation and school starting again. I would like to personally say thank you to all of you that made a young man feel welcomed. He will not be able to make it to the Banquet because of a mandatory school function. It stinks because of the great give aways that he will miss out on but we had to chose education first. As a senior it would not make sense to upset his teacher and jeopardize his grades. Thank you to all of the MORL officials and all of the track owners for running this series for the racers. Thank you to all that helped out by volunteering your time in the announcing booths and track maintenece and such. I hope you all have enjoyed the photos and getting to know us, we have enjoyed ourselves a great deal. Enjoy your winter racing and good luck to all of you! Tonia/ Momma Duck hankster 09-13-2009, 02:45 PM Definitely missed you Hank. Took me a little bit with everything going on, but about halfway through the weekend it hit me that you weren't around. I think it's been a month since I've raced. 9 to 10 hours a day and Saturday means my Sundays are full just doing stuff needed around the house. It least the winter will be free as I'll most likely be laid off in Dec. as the season winds down. beefgravy 09-13-2009, 04:18 PM Dang nice season guys and gals. I had a blast.. I am so ready for next season... You all put on a great show... I was nervous the first race but I knew I was with a great crowd when the very first night at 11pm the track owner used his personal tractor to get me unstuck... Makes a guy fell welcome and want to come back next year... Beef out.. mc-1 09-13-2009, 04:41 PM ya sad its over....someone say indoors!!!!! 420 Tech R/C 09-13-2009, 04:45 PM Darn great time as usual guys.Loved the track, had a good time, see everyone at the banquet. scrmngchkn 09-13-2009, 08:20 PM Darn great time as usual guys.Loved the track, had a good time, see everyone at the banquet. What! Donga need more food? Wendy thanks for the brownies! Tdevil 09-13-2009, 09:06 PM Just wanted to say I felt really bad about all the dust blowing off the South end of the track this past weekend for those that were pitted there. It didn't work out quite as well as it did for the ROAR last September. I think the combination of a couple thousand laps more on the track and a couple heats of 1/8 scale took its toll. Already making plans to do things a little differently for next year. Hope everyone had a decent time in spite of things being a bit dustier than we had planned. The 1/8 scale vid really shows what those hi-powered monsters can do to a track... the dust looked like Kansas in the 1930s. Editing as we type, will have posted ASAP. GREAT season everyone, it was a very nice summer for racing and making friends. win1 09-13-2009, 09:37 PM John, Don't feel to bad about the dust,I think this was the fist time all summer I did not spend at least 30 minutes digging track soil out of the cars when I got home.I liked the change in track surface. Thanks for the hard work and a super place to race. Mac The Knife 09-13-2009, 10:05 PM And this was the first Morl race this season that we didn't get any rain! Although, Damn that 1/8th scale A main was dusty! munsonator08 09-13-2009, 10:50 PM yes, it was very nice to see no rain all weekend. cant wait to watch the videos of the mains. great racing from everyone. crashmaster 09-13-2009, 11:50 PM i had a blast untill the A Main 1/8th scale buggy class and my ankle is still sore crashmaster 09-14-2009, 12:03 AM i have to admit one thing even tho i didn't make the hole serese i think that i might have gotten the best crash award for my partake in the 1/8 th scale A Main FishRC 09-14-2009, 09:16 AM Ok, no one pass out... but the points are done already and posted. Both the Battlefront points and the final results. The Final results show only the drivers that ran 4+ events in a class. These are the ones that qualify as racers attending the banquet. We really do ask you get your registration in as soon as you can if you are attending. HERSHEYSQUIRTS 09-14-2009, 09:44 AM Ok, no one pass out... but the points are done already and posted. Donga need more food? Wendy thanks for the brownies! Yea, thanks Wendy, great brownies, and no I didnt eat half the plate, Pauly brought over a large brownie while I was racing I think, I got back and BAM!!! brownie, thanx Pauly for delivering. Hey didnt i hear that if you ran more than 3 classes you get into the banquet free? lol, just a rumor i heard...... Also would like to thank Tonia and Don for bringin some kick ass chilli and goulash, lol, I was so full when I got home I crashed hard, lol. Thanx again to all the Losi Ducks, see yall at the banquet. I had a great time, some heats were rougher than others, but all in all a good time. Sorry John, but here goes, I think we should have watered, the track may have held together a little better. It got really rutted out right before the drop off and you cant blame the 1/8th scales 100%. I couldnt see my 1/8th scale in the main cause it was so dusty. You can say that watering doesnt give everyone a fair chance, but really we didnt have a fair chance anyway, I TQ stock buggy in the first round with Panther switches, they never worked after that. I ran ok with ifmar pins on my truck in the second qually, they didnt work for the mains, hence broken truck on practice lap, BTW thanx to Sean Bain for lending me his truck, otherwise I would have gotten third to Nick Max for the final points in stk truck. Soo done with the losi, on to the Kyosho RT5, cant wait for next year. At least if you water it keeps the dust down. Just my two cents. We ran a crap ton of laps and the track BARELY started to blue, I think different clay or a loamy track would be better. I love the loamy tracks, very fun and ton of traction, step pins all the way baby!!! Dont take this the wrong way, just my opinions. Fred B, that was an awsome stock buggy A main, great racing!!! See yall at the banquet Apple HandyRacing 09-14-2009, 07:47 PM I just finished the Short Course A-Main vid. WOW - Chad dominated for a loooonnnngggggg time, that home made Academy looked smooth as glass, and lots of air... then the end was a repeat of the Stateline photo finish. Will try and have posted later this evening... Thanks for your patience guys. Tdevil 09-14-2009, 07:59 PM I couldnt see my 1/8th scale in the main cause it was so dusty. Without getting into details, it was not our (Jason and my) choice to stop blowing the track off for the mains with 5 heats to go. Had we been allowed to continue doing what we had done for the previous 19 heats things would not have been so dusty for the last few mains. As I already posted, we are looking at options to do things a bit differently next year to keep the dust down and the track from taking such a beating. (combination of 2000 more laps on the track than the ROAR last year and the 1/8 scales, certainly not the 1/8 alone) twbeutler 09-14-2009, 10:03 PM hey i cant get the final points to load can some one help me out post the link to them please. thanks guys HandyRacing 09-14-2009, 10:07 PM Which class?
