420 Tech R/C 07-14-2009, 06:31 PM Clarifying...
Is there going to be a Slash oval, and separately an SC oval - Slash running Titan and SC runing stock motors?
Can the Slash(s) run with the SC(s) if we put a stock motor in it / them?
(like is done in the regular offroad races)
I dont see why not if that is what one chooses to do:thumbsup:
HERSHEYSQUIRTS 07-14-2009, 06:34 PM Rusty, Murray is getting a Donkey Kong Body painted just 4 this race.

That sucks Adam. What happened?
aeRayls 07-17-2009, 04:49 PM 2 speedo's quit workin, 6.5 smoked, power supply burnt up. Other weird things just broke.
On the plus side I traded off my slash for a sc10, hope to try it out at morl.
Anyone need a FTB4??? Got one for sale with some extras.
Dustinw 07-17-2009, 05:20 PM i cant beleive this many people can complain about a simple jump, i was at the FTMS race last weekend and seemed like all the stock cars seemed to do just fine. some people are just too scared to open up and try new things. i think the track should stay the same.
aeRayls 07-17-2009, 05:56 PM The track was just fine. At the end of the day some of the jump faces where ate up and need a little re-facing but thats it.

I think you need your eyes check there were three broken chassis a bunch of arms and whole bunch of body post broke .I don’t think you get it what they are saying is it would be much better racing if the jumps were more 1/10 friendly those jumps were made for 1/8 not 1/10 there was only one guy in stock that could make the south jump and I only seen him do 2 times .Even some of the guys running 10.5 could just make it.. I don’t think they are scared of open up and try it I think they are smart racers not trying. And if you marshaled their it was the busiest Marshalling spot on the track .I can’t believe you get on here and complain about people complaining.
airconde 07-18-2009, 10:07 AM Six words
Adapt to the Conditions it's OFFROAD. Somtimes slower is faster
It's aplace to play toy cars and a Very nice place at that.
Just my 2cnts.
I'll be their next weekend
Fred B 07-18-2009, 11:34 AM Either it will get fixed or it won't. It is what it is.
That one jump would make the track a lot better to actually race on with other people. Any idiot can adapt and drive around the track but it takes a racer to actually run with other people.
The one or two guys that figure out how to make that jump are going to destroy everyone else in stock. I don't want to hear any complaints about "cheaters" that can make the jump shen you guys don't want any complaints about a jump that 99% of the racers can't make.
HandyRacing 07-18-2009, 11:38 AM Any idiot can adapt
I wouldn't agree with this statement, on the track or in real life.
However, as far as the South Jump question goes, my vote is do what the majority of the regular MORL racers want to do. It is after all their / our program.

carbon madness 07-18-2009, 11:19 PM Is it time to run the slash/sc enduro yet, or better yet the race at state line as well? lol
HandyRacing 07-19-2009, 01:41 AM Is it time to run the slash/sc enduro yet, or better yet the race at state line as well? lol
We're leaning toward putting a stock motor in our Slash, I think having 2,3,4 flavors of an SC Truck on the track at the same time is THE exciting thing to do at the moment...
Especially the home made versions, these guys innovating are the cutting edge and I think it ROCKS.
(Thanks Chad, visiting the other local Jackson folks / racing a bit this evening was a treat)
Loony 07-19-2009, 03:09 PM Countdown to race 3

I think if you count the MARS years it was like 300+ ,hollis. I bet kevins Oval entries record gets broke this weekend though!!
sbrady#0 07-19-2009, 04:53 PM it would be cool to break that record. but it will be great to have a big turn out and more great racing too. this season is turning out to be a good one for the MORL races
rustyw 07-19-2009, 05:59 PM I believe in 1991 or 1992 the Litchfield MARS race had either 307 or 317 entries. Might have even been in 89 or 90

Back in 1996 or 97 at the Vicksburg MARS they had over 330 entries - I think I'm coming out to show my ugly mug - thats +2 entries. Below are a few pictures I dug up.

Stateline R/C 07-21-2009, 10:35 PM ...oh joy here we go again
hankster 07-21-2009, 11:26 PM I just want to know who's going to park down in the valley by the tree? ;)
Stateline R/C 07-22-2009, 06:21 AM im thinkin not you
HandyRacing 07-22-2009, 07:38 AM First one there?
Uncle E 07-22-2009, 08:54 AM Should be fun!
FishRC 07-22-2009, 08:56 AM For thoes that don't know yet. Parking in the vally under the trees at the south end of the tracks is not a good idea. That is the drainage ditch for the highway. If we do get hit with a big storm, you might be the next one chasing your tire bucket and other stuff as it floats off, right Rozzel. If your not sure how heavy it might rain, hit the banquet flyer on the web site and get the error page. Then think of the great work the Stateline crew did as we still got in a full day on the track. The Stateline crew gets it done!

: )
I pimped the race to our friends in Ontario here (http://forums.londonrc.com/showthread.php?p=223514#post223514)
HandyRacing 07-22-2009, 09:42 AM Not to change the subject from our Stateline discussion or my mysterious missing Jones videos...
(but perhaps a brief aside, maybe PM me with ideas)
Has anyone else noticed odd "dropped" links from the new MS IE8 and also having trouble with the new mandatory YouTube formatting / channels changes?
Quoting YouTube:
We want to give you a heads up that we're changing the day on which we'll move all remaining channels over to the new version. Why? Well, July 15th is almost here, and we realized that we still have a few bugs and things left on the to-do list.
Specifically, here's what we plan to do before we roll the new version out to all remaining channels:
•Add transparency (now done)
•Fix some browser-specific layout bugs - in particular, IE6 has a few issues right now
•Allow you to default your channel to "grid" view
•Allow you to re-order your uploads & playlists
•Fixes for some of the other bugs you've helped find (such as grid view not always working in IE), and other small things
So when's the new date? That part's a little trickier - rather than try to predict it, we'd rather focus our time on taking care of the above list. But we'll announce the new date no less than 2 weeks before it happens - and yes, it's still coming this summer. Keep an eye out here, on our main blog or on our beta blog. Thanks!
End quote.
Any other RC folks who also stay busy with web developement having troubles?
