HandyRacing 06-18-2009, 10:19 AM Got a Question a couple of guys that race at Niles run Electric Truggy .And they was woundering if they could run with the 1/8 elec. There is I think 4-6 of them.
Could one of the officals give a answer. Today Please
Thank you
In an ideal world, at least 6 would show for each and we would have an 1/8 Buggy and an 1/8 Truggy class. I'm not management, but I would rather see eveyone be able to race. If both show up with 5 then that's 10 on the track and that's better than none.
Q
1/8th Electric - This is not one of the listed classes for 2009. 6 or more will make a class. No option of running less in 2009. ROAR rules except soft packs are allowed with 30 mil lexan cover for 2009 only, hard packs required in 2010.
EQ
FishRC 06-18-2009, 01:12 PM I do believe that we have run them in the 1/8th class before. Bring them on out.
carbon madness 06-18-2009, 01:28 PM Yes fish there was truggies ran with the 8th buggies last year at Jones. lol
airconde 06-18-2009, 02:28 PM Cool i'll let them know
They nomally race at Niles but there going to the MORR race
Loony 06-18-2009, 05:52 PM Saturdays forecast looks really good!!!

carbon madness 06-18-2009, 06:04 PM Saturday looks like it should bee good, although friday looks like it might be a little iffy. I don't mind if it rains very lightly, but I don't want a repeat of litchfeild. (as in cutting friday pratice short). lol
J Blaze 06-18-2009, 07:06 PM going to be fun to see everybody again!!
420 Tech R/C 06-18-2009, 07:15 PM see you all tomorrow!! should roll in around 3-4 pm tomorrow afternoon.
one18thscalerac 06-18-2009, 07:24 PM anybody hav a esc i can rent buy borrow at a good price to use with my novak 6.5
HandyRacing 06-18-2009, 08:42 PM Yes fish there was truggies ran with the 8th buggies last year at Jones. lol
If I recall, there were enough 1/8 buggies last year at the Jones race to run a class (the Jones race was the only one we were able to attend). Dan, Tom, and one or two others brough their truggies and did some "exhibition laps" on the track between the qualifying and the mains.
As the 1/8 class isn't part of the points series, its all in fun anyway - the more the merrier, and its good for the class in general if more folks can come out and play...
Ultimately, if the guys running and the powers that be agree - its all good.
carbon madness 06-18-2009, 10:07 PM I do remember a revo that was with the 8th scale buggies.
But in any case it would be nice to see some of the other people that I race with race over there (the track in niles is my home track), although I don't race 8th scale, and if I did I would have to run a nitro 8th scale before I even thought about running an elecric one. lol
Wow in about 12 hours or less time I should be on the track getting some laps in, as long as the rain holds out. :D

Tdevil 06-20-2009, 10:57 AM I talked with Duck about 9:30 and they were within 5 or 10 minutes of getting started.
I won't make it down today. Had some situations come up with all the rain we had up here in G.R. If you were planning on seeing me at Jones for half price coupons for racing tomorrow (Sunday), just show up and we will take care of you.
Hope everyone has/had a great day!!!!!
HandyRacing 06-20-2009, 11:45 PM WOW, what a great day. Thank you everyone.
carbon madness 06-21-2009, 01:21 AM I have to say the layout looked better in person then what the pic's and vid loony post a few pages back. Although I still liked last years layout more.
As for the rain it seems like we can't get a break from it, although it was nice for a short time on friday, and race day went by really good. I was hopeing we were going to run 3 heats and a main, but in anycase I still had a lot of fun.
sbrady#0 06-21-2009, 08:11 AM three heat races would have been nice but having as big a turn out of racers was alot better now if we can get away from the rain
kwiksi 06-21-2009, 08:17 AM Track was a blast and I had a great time. Looking forward to the results and some pics if someone took any and can post.
munsonator08 06-21-2009, 08:38 AM good job by everyone to put on a great show, good layout. wish we could have run 3 heats, but it is what it is.
waiting for pictures and videos of the races, and full results.

munsonator08 06-21-2009, 09:15 AM wow that sucks, im sorry to hear about your equipment. what happened with them, did you just forget about them, or did something just randomly happen and nothing you could have done.

My boy left the top of the pit box open with it sitting right under the drip line of the canopy as we broke down the night before.all our radios,Chargers ,power supply etc were in there. My fault because I wasnt watching him like a hawk.If I cant revive any of the damaged gear our race season may be over.
kwiksi 06-21-2009, 09:41 AM Chad
2wd stock buggy A main I got 4th I think. Will have to wait on results. Lol. Truck B main 3rd, and SC got 1st in the B main.
Srry to hear about your stuff. I hope things work again. Maybe Airtronics can look at your M8's as a last resort? Maybe cheaper than buying all new gear. As for the charger Josh and I have two each and can help you charge batts if the need arises at the track.
Thanx for letting me borrow the goosebumps. They made a difference. Todd has them now.

J Blaze 06-21-2009, 10:18 AM MR 420 sorry to here bout it.
good day of racing.
had a blast first time ever in the A main in any thing!
fun track!!
hankster 06-21-2009, 10:53 AM Great time on Saturday. 190+ entries. Enjoyed the track. It did get blown out at times but for me that makes it more of a challenge. Must suit me as I made the A main in the 3 classes I ran. Can't ask for much more.
HandyRacing 06-21-2009, 12:56 PM The first set of pics and my "take on things" be posted here (http://blog.handyracing.com/2009/06/21/midwest-offroad-racing-league-2009--jones-race-action.aspx)
Vids to be posted as soon as possible...
Thanks everyone for a great day.

Thanks, I appreaciate the feedback. I was able to partner with my Washtenaw Program video adventure cohort Chris P which allowed us to record yesterday in HD. I think / hope they turned out well, and we hope to have the editing done as soon as possible.
Leonard 06-21-2009, 02:26 PM Had a great time at Jones this weekend. The only complaint I have is out of our control anyway. That being the rain friday. Otherwise a splendid time. Thanks to the Lambs for letting me campersit their trailor. One of the best race weekends I ever had ! Sorry to Chad about your gear. If ya get the radio issues cleared up, I think enough of us can pull together to get some batteries charged for ya. I know I will do what I can to help ! With the good group of peeps we got, you should get the help.
Once again, thanks to ALL who take there time to put this series together. This is my second year and look forward to many more !

One of those touched down just a few miles north of where I lived. I went most of Friday without power, came back on around 8:30, then we had that severe line of storms that came through that spawned those tornadoes. Haha, I was like, man, if the power goes out again...
FishRC 06-21-2009, 10:28 PM Results are posted. Thanks to everyone for the support this weekend. I hope most of you got back to homes that were not harmed in the storm. There were a few that had to go back to water or clean up and I hope that they all get the help they need to get things fixed.

It seems the 10th place qualifying car's lap results column are cut off the right side of the page(s). This leaves the lap times not viewable for review.
Can this be corrected?
beefgravy 06-22-2009, 10:10 AM It was a great race weekend. Nice piece of property to camp and race on. Everyone form the doughnut lady (thanx) to the ladies taking the money were real nice...
I had a blast with all my bros again... see you next time..

Fish - Thanks. It looked to me like the formatting of the Race Software's reporting function might be wonky for the printer's page setup. It might help if the margins on the right and left can be reduced in the print properties...
carbon madness 06-22-2009, 02:15 PM Just wondering what tires tend to work the best as Stateline for the 10th scale cars?
