Which cars are most like the AFX magna traction?
I sold all mine a long time ago.

Is it the JL cars?
Also, how can I tell the JL bodies on the pullbacks from a real slotcar.
I notice that some of the bodies cost as much as the whole deal.
But sometimes I cant tell if its a pullback or not.

Are all the pullbacks marked T Jet 500 or something.

There are not any LHS anymore so all viewing is those small pics on the various SC sites, or by numbers like JLL123.

The pullbacks come in cardboard boxes, the slot cars
come in plastic boxes with clear rectangular domes
over the cars. The 'X-traction' cars are as close to
a Magnatraction car as you can get. Most of the
parts will interchange as will the bodies.

Be advised, that some of the latest rounds of AW XTs offer the bodies on chassis cores as well as full running slotcar chassis. If I recall, those that are on a chassis core, have a label affixed on the plastic cube's upper right corner stating this fact. rr

Free Wheelin chassis is what i was refering to. Sorry for any confusion. Thanks Slotcarman. rr

Read the auction listings carefully... Loose cars especially!! Rolling chassis = no motor!!! Since AW came out with the freewheeling chassis (also no motor) there's been alot of confusion with the Xtractions.... If you don't see pick-up shoes, you can pretty much assume it is a free roller..... Don't be afraid to ask the seller a question either.. Just don't wait til the last minute..

Auto World has released both the X-Traction and the X-Traction Ultra-G. The X-Traction Ultra-G comes with an extra traction magnet that improves the handling of the car. The magnet is removable and if removed will offer the same performance as the X-Traction.

Best regards,
Brian

Not saying that this statement is wrong, but there are sellers who switch stuff around and make for even more confusion!!! Here is an example of a somewhat misleading listing...

This is a freewheeling chassied AW body in a cube.... It is mentioned in the listing, but the picture would lead you astray..

What is a freewheeling chassis?
Pullback or an actual slotcar chassis minus motor?

The free wheeling chassis is completely bare. No pin, pick ups, magnets, arm, top plate, not even the plates on the bottom to put the pick up shoes on.
