Here's my build-up of Chariot with Drewid's cool figures and luggage.

I am waiting on a new Debbie/Bloop, as my original one was damaged during shipment, but other than that, this build is done.

I realize my figure painting is pretty basic, but I liked the way they turned out and it makes the Chariot so much neater to display with figures, in my opinion.

For straps that hold luggage on top, I used silver pin-stripe tape from hobby store -- while not 100% exact (no buckles) it is close enough for me. I also added two small silver suitcases to the pieces Drewid includes with kit as I had them on hand.

Struth!! But they do bring that kit to life. Top job  youve got something to be proud of there. :)

Now I really am itching to get mine. I keep looking at my chariot on its base and it just looks wanting...

Figures don't look to basic to me. In fact, I thoght I heard that whiny Dr. Smith muttering something when the pic came up.:thumbsup::thumbsup: rr

Fantastic. Are you going to place this Chariot kit in a diorama setting any time soon.I bet that you could make up a very imaginative planetary scenery.

Thanks for all the kind words. As I said, for a modeler with little patience and modest skills, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Of course, I do aspire to do builds of a higher caliber seen by others on this forum -- some of the detail and paint work done by others here simply astonishes me!

But, if nothing else, I got the dang thing built and up on my shelf!!! :) My present-day finished models look like what I ASPIRED to do when I was 9 years old, but never quite match the museum-quality builds I see others do on this forum.

I realize more and more that the BUILDING of models is, in and of itself, something that can be relished -- the actual PROCESS itself. But I also struggle to find the time to devote to this hobby and my inpatience gets the best of me, and often I will stop working the model at a certain point so I can get it done and on display. More power to those of you who have more patience and, perhaps more importantly, more skill to apply to the craft of model making. I LOVE to see models that have been modified with great attention to the smallest details and with expert paint jobs and lighting effects.

I would post larger pics if I knew how -- there are size limits to the hosting service I use...any suggestions on how to make them bigger are welcome.

I know what you mean, I've had to delete alot of the pictures I first posted....
With only 5Mb total I had to remove pictures from old posts. It did help when I became a supporter, I now have more capacity.... One thing I do is reduce the "dpi" of the photo but keep the size, also increase the compression.;)

Those figures do add to the model alot more than I expected.
