Sorry Hank didn't realize it was an 1/8th scale thread. Just ordered an 1/8th scale so in about a month I'll have an answer. Planning on sending esc back instantly to have firmware update right away. Have a 1300kv not sure if that is the best motor or not?? Currently checking with Swint and Apple I'm thinking the 1700 or 2100????

I was thinking the 1700kv motor. Just wondering if there has been any experence on durability. Still wanting to wait on batteries as I think that the MORL series will require hardcased batteries. can't you upgrade the firmware yourself via the software program?

Hank I got the 1700 coming. Hard case batteries are hard to come by for these. I don't know one of the racers who have them, so I going soft.

Currently Losi is the only hard case in town.

The Xcelorin ESC can be upgrade via PC Setup program. The 1700 is a solid motor for 4S racing, the 1300 is really good if thinking about 5S or for smaller tracks. Being 4 pole sensorless they have great power.

the xcelorin is awesome.i have the 2.0 with the 2100 kv and no probs yet.only thing about the new firmware, they took out low and medium timing options and low and medium initial acceleration because they were the cause of the cogging.hopefully they will update it again.puts a hurting on runtime

There are a few in my area that have been running all summer with no issues at all. They seem nice. I drove on and it felt good.

I own a MMM/Neu and a Tekin.

Dakotah is running the 2100 outside for the larger tracks. We have a 1700 for smaller tracks. Initially we ran two 5000 Losi Lipo hardpacks (from his 1/10 vehicles) and now we are running the large Losi hardpack.
