HI guys,

My name is Denis and I'm VERY new to Kyosho 1/64 collecting.

I've collected a bunch of different things , (100% HWs, GL, JL, Exoto and road race 1/43s).

I just wanted to take a minute out to Thank all of you for the pics you've posted and all the information I've gained by reading your posts.

I luv the road racing, (LeMans, etc) cars Kyosho produces in 1/64.
I do wish however, that they were more readily available in North America.
Maybe that's part of the appeal to me, you don't see them often.

Anywho, Thanks again and hopefully one day I'll be able to post pics of my own little gems.

Thanks for reading what this rookie has to say. :)

Denis, kneedeep56

Hey!

Welcome to the boards. Kyosho makes some great cars in 1/64 scale, so be sure to show us some pics when you are able to.

And have fun collecting.

Sorry for the picture quality - one day I'll get it right :freak:

Thanks again to Ernie, (ernneal) for sending me these for Christmas.
How can I ever repay you for your generosity.

I love these cars :p

Thanks for looking, Denis

That Shelby Maserati is really cool. I've got to find one of those.

Welcome Dennis.
Kyoshos are my favorites right now. Partly because of the quality but also because of their selection choices. Who else can you get 10 different Audi's from at one time?

Don't worry about your pictures. They look great. As long as I am here there will always be someone much worse than you at taking pictures.

Excellent selection of Kyoshos! They are my favorite in 1/64 scale too as I don't collect other brands in 1/64 anymore.

Pictures are very good too... don't see anything wrong with them at all!

Oh yes, and one big  to Ernie!

Denis, welcome aboard, were glad your here. I think your pics are wonderful, keep em' cpming! I have three of the castings you've posted, but I am missing that 250 GTO...wow, I have to go find that one now!!!

I am a road racing replica collector (what a mouth full!) and I notice you posted all racing based castings. Are you a race fan as well?

Thank You for all the kind words :)

Yes Ward, I do luv the racing pieces the best.
I like the history and researching the cars
gives me an extra thrill.

I hope to be able to add to the collection soon...
I'm going through withdrawals - nothing new
for me in about three or four weeks. :(

Guess I should be thankful for what I have :o

Just a heads-up Ward...

this 250 GTO came as a built kit, (the seller sent the tiny screwdriver)

you may want to look for it already built or in kit form.

Does anyone know where I could purchase a couple of oldies that
are so difficult to find???

Martini Porsche 935 car #1 and 3
BMW 3.5 CSL car #25 and 59

any information would be appreciated...

Thanks for the info Denis. I also enjoy doing the research of the racing history of my replicas. Nice to have another road racing junkie on the boards with me!

Here is my customized version of the #22 GTO (this casting by Hot Wheels for .99 cents!). Driven to a 2td in clas and 3td overall in the 1962 24 Heures Du Mans...

Sorry Denis, not trying to hijack your thread, I am just exicited to be among road racing / sports car fans!

Thank You, Denis

Those are hard to come by even in Japan.

If you know somebody there, you might be able snag some cheaper loose pieces.

I bought some loose ones from Japan about two years ago, they looked nice in the photo but I was dissapointed to see them once they got here. Some of the tampos were messed up and had some nicks here and there however, there was no way for me to complain since I just asked somebody local to get them for me.

Goodluck hunting for those pieces.

Thanks for the info Carlo.

I do know someone in Japan, he's over there teaching English.

I'm not sure he'd be able to help me out.
I doubt he knows the difference between a VW Bug and a Testarossa.
BUT... its worth a try.

Thanks again, Denis
