Not sure if this is the right place to ask or not, but...
At my local track in the SK class they run the brushed stock motors (the house stockers, chrome can purple end bell) and the 17.5's together. Its a 4 cell class, with spec packs. Which would be a better choice to run? At this point I can go either way. Is there a clear advantage with one?
Thanks,
Mike

Mike,
Def brushless, IMO you are working with a motor that has opt power out of the package with little work, no need to rebuild. Drop it in and find the sweet spot.

That's what I was thinking.

Ok, not trying to start a brand war, but what motors do you guys prefer in a 17.5?

up here in the northeast most tracks are running strickly Novak motors, I know rctoybox has opended up there motor rules. I wont give an opinion on which motor or esc you should run as it only matters what that track you run at makes the rules,

Well I just talked with Dot and she said ANY 17.5 and ANY esc. So I'm pretty much open to anything. I've heard lots of good things about the Novak, but I've heard just as good about the Haker's. And there's the Trinity Pulse's, the Schumacher's, the Losi's, the Tekin's and the Associated's... So I'm kinda completly lost. But from what I've read you can't go wrong with any of them. They all have strong and weak points, you've just gotta get it in the sweet spot.
