ScottH 12-27-2008, 06:38 PM I checked out your post. Looks like a cool place to run.
McLin 12-28-2008, 12:19 AM WOOOOOO HOOOOOO GO FAST AND TURN LEFT! But I would still rather see dirt than an inside wall. A little dirt - a little Fescue - watch it all turn green LOL
Team T2C 12-28-2008, 12:15 PM ok, Run Off Size?
McLin 12-28-2008, 01:27 PM Just guessing but I woud think that just enough dirt to let the cars transition into the infield would be enough. The grass would act to slow them down but the biggest thing that I like about it is it gives you a place to "escape to" if you cut off or break or what ever. Much better than being trapped on the track with a dead car.
Mike Clark 12-29-2008, 03:12 PM How about a pit wall to seperate the racing surface from the BRICK building, OOOOOOOOOOOOOUCH if you hit it!
Lovely place for a 1/4 scale race.
Team T2C 12-29-2008, 03:19 PM at that spot it is 40ft wide, If you hit the building you got other problems. But we are looking at wall options for the outside right now. Most of the time the R/C use about 1 ft off the inside line. there is going to be alot of wasted concrete.
1Starpower 01-04-2009, 05:05 PM You have never seen Scott drive a nitropan have you. He uses all the track and tries to move the wall to get alittle more room.:p

Have you EVER watched a 1/4 pounder race?
Where will your pit lane be? Only a fool would stick his foot or car out onto a hot track during a Nitro or 1/4 scale race. If Your track is 40' wide then you won't mis the 5' it will take to create a pit for your racers. If you are going to be anything Be Safe!

Now do you believe me?
ScottH 01-04-2009, 10:32 PM Just ask Tim or Wayne what a NP car will do to you if you step out in front of one.
Team T2C 01-05-2009, 09:52 PM 40 ft i am sure we can sqeeze 5 ft for a pit road.

Good Deal!
Yea Wayne was sore for a while. Went to turn marshall a 1/10 nitro pan and didn't make it off the track. A 1/10 took his feet from under him and DUMPED him on his back between turns 1 & 2. Ouch!:freak::freak::freak:

Ok, So here is an Update.
Measured the Track
Inside Line 349.6 ft directly on the inside line.
Racing line (proposed) 449.9 (only going up halfway on the straights)
Outside Line 538 ft
We are set and we will be testing with a few select people on the next good day that we get. And the track is smaller then expected which we figure is a good thing. I gues my speedo is off in my truck,
ScottH 01-07-2009, 07:51 PM That is not too terribly big. How is the banking? The thing you will see as there are more cars run and the speeds really come up is how much grip there is, or lack of.
My 18t clutch bell is ready!
Team T2C 01-07-2009, 11:06 PM If I had to compare it to Sand Paper I would say 120-200 grit.
ScottH 01-07-2009, 11:54 PM I meant degees of banking.
