I race on a 75' carpet oval and can't keep my left front tire down in the corners. I tried a heavier spring on the right rear with no results. Does anyone have any other thoughts on how I can correct this? TIA

TIA Rex Without you giving much detail to your car... tires.. setup, like zero... Try the heavier one on the LR..... Like a red, with a blue RR And stiffer RF. like a prog green Maybe a harder RF tire. jmccormick 12-27-2008, 02:35 PM Rex are you still running a hyperdrive car ?? If so I have a very good setup that will get you around that track. As far as lifting the left front you may have to much bite in the rear LOL along with to soft of a spring in both RF and RR there are a ton of variables that affect this as well like tweak, weight dist and stagger to. Heres what I ran there springs LF red progrerssive RF red progressive center silver associated side springs RR blue associated LR gold associated shock oils center 50w side 30w T-plate 063 staright cut with no shims under the pivot balls long king pins with green mudslide lube NO preload on either front spring 0 deg caster RF 2 deg LF 2 deg camber RF 1.5 deg RF CRC o deg caster blocks #3 locaters on both LF and RF OFFset t plate and offset pod rear track width of 8 in with the RS tires equal and the LF just a bit inside the LR with no spacers on the front axles that track loves .05 deg rear stear it gets you through the tight corner so much better and doesnt bind the car up whitch will help get you off the corner faster. Tires BSR LF green LR pearl white RF black RR white start with 0 stagger all around with 10 to 12 oz of tweak on the left rear this will depend on traction cond and tire selection as I dont know if this os for cot or lipo. This is basicly the setup that I had when I ran there in april TQ'd and won and set the 17.5 4 cell track record with. you may also want to try some pre load in the LF basicly add spacers until ther is no sag in the suspension when the car is level this helps when there is not much grip in the track so you wont have to use a lot of tweak to get the car to not spin out coming out of the corner this may be the way to go with the spec tires. Dan 12-27-2008, 03:22 PM or.. you could try that.... (hi Jim..) Jim, I'm in the ballpark on the set up but I think those tweaking ideas will be very helpful and I'm certainly going to implement them on both the hyperdrive and the KSG. I appreciate you taking the time to go into the detail and sharing that you did. See you at the track, Rex vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
