Hello- Trying ot repair one of the slot cars on my Tyco Night Glo racing set. It is one of the Silver Streak Cars purchased around 1977.
Trying to find the crown gear and axle assemly (teeth are worn). Having trouble matching up the part.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to purchase online? Thanks

You need a Tyco Curve Hugger rear axle assembly. Slot Car Central has three sets for $8.99. That would give you two spares.

IMHO, Slot Car Central is an excellent company to deal with.

actually, there are 2 chassis designs called HP-2 Curvehuggers, although theyre radically different. Those axles from slotcar central only work on the later design, with separate traction magnets directly under the rear axle, which would snap in from underneath. Your chassis would have to look like this:

The other, older type is what many of these niteglow cars came with: http://cgi.ebay.com/TYCO-Hp-2-Curvehugger-Bare-Chassis_W0QQitemZ370074111618QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSl ot_Cars?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116
Thats a shot of a bare chassis, but you get the idea. They could be silver/grey or black. If you need axles/gears for those, a TycoPro piece will work. Try toybaron.com he has a LOT of parts for older tycos. Hope that helps.
