Just charge and race. Team T2C 12-25-2008, 05:12 PM Lipo for some and Nimh for spec class. Prefer SMC Lipo's!!!!! TBRC1 12-25-2008, 05:37 PM For me it's NIMH till the $$$ are there for lipo............... DOUGHBOY 12-25-2008, 09:38 PM why would any body waste any more time or money on nimh. if you want to be competetive running nimh you are probably buying 2 new packs every month or two. at $50.00 a pack x2= you should have just bought a new lipo pack and switched over... jgullo53 12-25-2008, 09:49 PM the LAST season of using NIMH, im so happy, i almost wanna cry......... NOT Dski93 12-25-2008, 10:18 PM Lipo racing rocks. twelve 12-25-2008, 11:14 PM Running nimh till outdoor dirt oval starts in May. Racin'Jason 8 12-25-2008, 11:36 PM Lipo rocks, NiMH if I have to, and not planning to support open motor tracks in '09. Racin'Jason 8 12-25-2008, 11:39 PM why would any body waste any more time or money on nimh. if you want to be competetive running nimh you are probably buying 2 new packs every month or two. at $50.00 a pack x2= you should have just bought a new lipo pack and switched over...Unfortunately, it's this mentality that killed NiMH...but, whatever. tats31 12-25-2008, 11:53 PM I am still using nimh its that or not race because thats what the local track runs but im not a hair band fan. Kinda unfair  casper60 12-26-2008, 12:00 AM I am running NiMh, but have a lipo car almost ready to go, just have to pick up a couple items to finish up the lipo program. As far NiMh packs go... Doughboy, just what i have seen locally, guys are running packs over a year old and walking away from guys who have newer packs. Two key items have to be considered here... 1, The cells that are coming out today as opposed to a year ago are not of the same quality. The practical use of NiMh batteris has decreased considerably in the past year. The companies that primarily used them for products they manufactured have moved to different technology. 2, if you properly maintain your batteries, there is no reason to buy new packs every month if you take care of your stuff. Manimal517 12-26-2008, 12:21 AM Not sure how to vote here, See I'm a 80's heavy metal fan all the way, but planning to switch to lipos. Racin'Jason 8 12-26-2008, 12:28 AM Not sure how to vote here, See I'm a 80's heavy metal fan all the way, but planning to switch to lipos. I hear ya on the 80's metal, but there's a big difference between Slayer and Slaughter! casper60 12-26-2008, 12:32 AM Slaughter... how the hell were they ever considered Metal? Stryper.... Def Leppard... Poision... WTF, no, they were not metal. Racin'Jason 8 12-26-2008, 12:34 AM ...exactly! And that's like comparing NiMH to Lipo (Lipo is Slayer ). casper60 12-26-2008, 12:36 AM Lipo = Pantera :woohoo: Racin'Jason 8 12-26-2008, 12:37 AM Lipo = Pantera :woohoo: Vulgar Display of Lipo Power! casper60 12-26-2008, 12:39 AM Vulgar Display of Lipo Power! Nice... I smell a 40c SMC ad out of that NASCR3 12-26-2008, 01:12 AM Just got 2 SMC DODC LiPO packs from Santa & my sister. Thanks Santa & Melissa. I'm back in business & can't wait for the February Freeze at Bumps & Jumps to try them out. :woohoo: John  tats31 12-26-2008, 01:54 AM are you kidding there were groups like king dimond, helloween, sabbat , violence, death and grim reaper they make slaughter sound great:freak: casper60 12-26-2008, 01:58 AM Tats, Now I agree with you that those bands were... well, ummm BAD, but they were more metal than Slaughter. I mean come on... When you think hardcore, don't think "fly to the angels"... lol BTW, I like Slaughter, but putting them in the same category with bands like Iron Maiden, Pantera, Anthrax... that is just a true pitty. Hell, Elvis had some edgy stuff, can we call him Metal? :p tats31 12-26-2008, 01:59 AM manimal wasp had a song called that sung by blackie lawless tats31 12-26-2008, 02:02 AM I am just a metal fan my fa stuff is black sabbath and then there was metallicas am i evil casper60 12-26-2008, 02:16 AM Metallica, before they sold out, were gods. Some of the later stuff was good, but Metallica will never be Metallica again in my book! Manimal517 12-26-2008, 02:29 AM Yea W.A.S.P. was one of the best metal bands to come out of the 80's. And thats where i took the nic from tats31 12-26-2008, 03:54 AM WASP We are s per I havent baught a metallica album sence and justice for all OK kat i givein im a nimh hairband person:dude::thumbsup: RPM 12-26-2008, 09:42 AM Slaughter... how the hell were they ever considered Metal? Stryper.... Def Leppard... Poision... WTF, no, they were not metal. Judas Priest started metal along with KISS! THE TRUE DISTORTION GODS! YEA! LOL:thumbsup: tats31 12-26-2008, 10:18 AM black sabbath started metal jmccormick 12-26-2008, 10:53 AM Looking at the 1 cell lipo setup. But am still going to run the NIMH gear untill everyone is on the same page. No need to dilute the classes until that time. And I am also NOT in favor of opening the motors up to all and will not support a track that does so. It's time we stand up to the guru's that are making this hobby so freakin expensive by creating the "motor of the month club" mentality in that you need to run brand X to win or even be on the same lap and next mont it will be brand Z and then brand X version2 etc...... It has been very nice to have 1 motor for almost 2 years and not have to even think about buying another one because fast freddy dimb wad inc makes a faster 17.5. And after a month or so my curernt 17.5 would be obsolete because they would have to redesign it to compete with dimb wads 17.5.. AC/DC and IRON MAIDEN KICK ASS!!!!!!!! male pettern baldness sucks LOL OvalTrucker 12-26-2008, 11:27 AM Judas Priest started metal along with KISS! THE TRUE DISTORTION GODS! YEA! LOL:thumbsup: Judas Priest and KISS were metal before it was actually called metal! Nobody else compares! Oh, I'm all LiPo all the time. Don't own a NiMh pack, equalizer or discharger anymore. My pit equipment went on a major diet. Must have lost at least 30 lbs. or more. sportpak 12-26-2008, 04:01 PM Newest Metallica record kicks ass. Saw them in Columbus this year, they still tear it up. Love Metallica, but if you notice my avitar, Black Sabbath was, is, and will forever be the definitive example of heavy metal. Lipo-wise.... Only lipo for me this year. I have a few Nimh receiver packs that I have to use on my 12th scale, but other then that, lipo only for the next few years. Ben RPM 12-26-2008, 05:15 PM Judas Priest and KISS were metal before it was actually called metal! Nobody else compares! Oh, I'm all LiPo all the time. Don't own a NiMh pack, equalizer or discharger anymore. My pit equipment went on a major diet. Must have lost at least 30 lbs. or more. I did the same thing. Only I still have a closet full of com cutters, equalizers, motors etc..... I love all METAL music and I play it on my guitar very loud:woohoo::woohoo: MIDWESTRC 12-26-2008, 06:28 PM Lipo !!!!! 69mkitmine 12-26-2008, 07:27 PM niMH = WEIRD AL!!! LOL Lipo all the way! B-man777 12-26-2008, 07:29 PM hey all; Running nimh or lipo realy all comes down to what the rules are for the class you run in. Most oval classes don't allow both.
