So this year my wife said she wanted to get me RC stuff for Christmas. I was guided to one gift by this poem. The reference to Silver and Green in the poem is because she ordered one pair of Green truck rear foams and one pair of Silver truck rear foams but a mistake was made in packing and we got Green fronts instead of the Silver rears.
Here is the poem:
The Gift
Twas the night before Christmas
And down in the cellar
RC cars lined up
In displays oh so stellar.
Snorting and whirring
They were ready to race
Come next race day –
“Watch us set the pace!”
Just one wasn’t ready
And the reason was clear …
It had two fine front tires,
But none on the rear.
So it couldn’t go
Not one mile or one inch.
The tires must be taken
By some mean old grinch!
We knew there’s no silver,
But where are the green?
Who’d steal our tires?
Who’d be so mean?
Then I heard a small voice
From the little tooth elf.
“I found them, I found them
All by myself!
And brought them back to you,
Hid them where I know.
Just where the tooth fairy’s
Money would go!”
Just like the Tooth Elf promised, I found the Green rears under my pillow.
